Hi there, I'm back again!

I haven't been writing much over the last few {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (天)because it's carnival(狂欢节) here in Tenerife--you know, music, dance, and Carnival Queen competitions— and all {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(各种)of street activities going on for days and nights! However, today's a sad day because it's almost over. I've been partying all week, and now it's{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(时候)to put my colorful carnival clothes away and get my black clothes out because it's the Burial of the Sardine(沙丁鱼).

    "What? A funeral(葬礼) for a fish?!" You may say. Yeah, I know it{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (听起来）crazy, but it' s been a tradition around here for hundreds of years. Nobody knows{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (确切地)how it began. It seems that people used to celebrate having lots of  {#blank#}6{#/blank#} to eat. Nowadays, we have a big model fish on the back of a truck, and everybody just turns up and follows the truck. It's getting {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (更大)every year as more and more tourists are coming to have a look and take part in the fun.

So, what happens? Well, we walk slowly around the town and everybody {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (穿着)black clothes. Some people even {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (哭),like a real funeral. Then. in the end, they burn(烧)the fish, and there's a firework display(烟火表演). So anyway, bye for now—I've got to go and get {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (准备)for a funeral!
