When you receive an invitation from an American friend, you should know something about table {#blank#}1{#/blank#}.

Don't circle your plate {#blank#}2{#/blank#} your arms.If you do so, people will look at you. They will think you don't like the {#blank#}3{#/blank#} on the table.

    Don't put the plate back when you finish your {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. Leave it where it was.

    Use the knife and fork correctly. We usually put the knife our right hand,and the {#blank#}5{#/blank#} in our left hand. After you finish {#blank#}6{#/blank#} the food, just put the knife and fork across the plate.

    Don't {#blank#}7{#/blank#} up everything before eating. Cut only one or two {#blank#}8{#/blank#} of it every time.

    {#blank#}9{#/blank#} take a mouthful(满口)of food. Do you want to show how hungry you are? Don't do that. It's impolite.

    Don't stand up to get {#blank#}10{#/blank#} that is far from you on the table.If the thing you want isn't at hand, just ask the nearest person for help,like “Mrs Smith,could you please pass me the dish?”

    A boy lost his arms in an accident. Since then, he {#blank#}1{#/blank#} on his younger brother. In order to look after him, his younger brother became his shadow (影子), never leaving him {#blank#}2{#/blank#} for many years. Except for writing with his toes, he never thought of doing anything{#blank#}3{#/blank#}

    Then one day, his younger brother had to work far from him, living his own life, as many normal people do. So he was heart-broken and didn't know what to do.

    A similar misfortune (不幸) happened to a girl. One night her mother {#blank#}4{#/blank#}after arguing with her father. So her father went out looking for her mother. She tried to {#blank#}5{#/blank#}meals for her parents, but only to catch a big fire, which took her hands away. {#blank#}6{#/blank#} her elder sister said she could help her, she refused.

    One day, the boy and the girl {#blank#}7{#/blank#} to a television interview program. They were asked to write something on a piece of paper with their toes. The boy wrote: My younger brother's arms are my arms; while the girl wrote: Broken wings, flying heart.

    They had both {#blank#}8{#/blank#} a terrible disaster, but their different attitudes showed the nature of their lives. If you only choose{#blank#}9{#/blank#} about it, it will always follow you wherever you go. But if you decide to face it {#blank#}10{#/blank#}, the hardship will turn out to be a fortune on which new hopes will arise.

    In November 1979, pupils in England were able to watch a new TV program called Monkey.  Most of them {#blank#}1{#/blank#} this story for the first time.

    However, this story is not new to Chinese children. The Monkey King or Sun Wukong {#blank#}2{#/blank#} the main character in the traditional Chinese book Journey to the West.

    The Monkey King is not just a normal monkey. In fact, he sometimes {#blank#}3{#/blank#} like a monkey! This is because he can make 72 changes to his shape and size, turning himself into different animals and objects. But unless he {#blank#}4{#/blank#} his tail, he cannot turn himself into a man. To fight bad people, the Monkey King uses a magic stick. Sometimes he can make the stick so small that he can keep it in his ear. At other times, he is able to make it big and long.

    The Monkey King {#blank#}5{#/blank#} this stick to heaven to fight. The Jade Emperor(玉皇大帝) {#blank#}6{#/blank#} the Monkey King. Then the Buddha(如来佛祖)comes. Finally the Monkey King is trapped at the foot of the mountain by the Buddha.  Five hundred years later, he {#blank#}7{#/blank#} by the Tang Dynasty monk Xuanzang. Later, the Monkey King helps Xuanzang to the west.

    The Monkey King {#blank#}8{#/blank#} the children of China for many years. And as soon as the TV program came out more than 30 years ago, Western Children became interested in {#blank#}9{#/blank#} this story because the clever Monkey King keeps fighting {#blank#}10{#/blank#} the weak and never gives up.
