I live in a wonderful neighborhood. My neighbors are all very nice and kind, 1 the best of them is Mr. Lee. He lives on the left of my house. He is a 2 in a hospital. He has two sons and one daughter. One of his sons is my classmate, so I often 3 their house. Every time I go to their home, Mr. Lee welcomes me with a warm smile. Mr. Lee is very 4. If we have any health problem, he is always ready to help 5. And he will never 6 us for money. Mr. Lee is also a person with a sense of humor (幽默感). He 7 telling us jokes(笑话) and making us laugh. 8 in our neighborhood thinks highly of him.

    Peter is also one of my neighbors, and he does 9 in all his lessons. When I have some questions, I 10 ask him for help. We often play football together after school, sometimes we go 11 in the swimming pool. We like talking with each other on his balcony(阳台), we can 12out at the beach and the sea from it. After dinner, we often watch TV and enjoy cups of tea. The best place for us to stay is the 13, because we like eating.

    Rob Frenette had problems with bullies (欺凌) at school for eleven years. He was often lonely and scared. When he was fifteen, however, he decided to do something about his problems. He walked into a newspaper office and told them about the bullying. His story went into the newspaper and soon all the TV stations in Canada wanted to talk to him about his experiences. They also wanted to hear his ideas to stop bullying.

    After that, Rob continued his studies at school, but in his free time he helped other people with bullying problems. With a friend Katie Neu, he made a website called www.bullyingcanada. ca. Visitors to the website can find advice, stories and poems about bullying in both English and French. When people are upset, they can talk on the phone or online to Rob and his team. Every weekend Rob has to answer e-mails to the website. He also speaks to children, teachers and members of government around the country about bullying.

    Rob's most important message is "When bullies are unkind to you, it isn't your fault. There's nothing wrong with you, so you should try to keep trusting yourself. And remember that people care about your problems. You just have to find those people."

    One of Rob's ideas is Blue Day, a special day for stopping bullying in schools. Students have to wear blue clothes and in class they learn how to stop bullying. More than 150 Canadian schools now celebrate Blue Day, but Rob won't stop until there's a Blue Day in every school in Canada.

    The Kennedy Elementary school band(乐队)is special. That's because Tony Boland, a member of it, is a 79-year-old flute(长笛)player. His story tells us that you're never too old to toot the flute.

    After working at the school for more than ten years, Tony joined the fifth graders in the band. His grandchildren were at the school. He help with reading.

    He started tooting the flute many years ago, when his wire tried to throw away(扔掉)their daughter s flute.

    "You will play better if you play with others," he told a reporter.

    Brian Enabnit thought Tony would make a difference to the band. "He's great. He's helping the students around him, "Enabnit said.

    Tony practises with the students once a week and performs with them. They played at the Dubuque Community School District's Band Festival earlier this month.

    Fifth-grade student Courtney Less thought her older classmate was successful. "He's an excellent player," Courtney said. "All of us are afraid when giving a performance, but he isn't."

    "Joe, you are a very old dog," said policeman Fred. "Today is your birthday again. I remember you were 14 years old last year. But you are still the best police dog in the world!"

    "ARF! ARF!" barked Joe.

    "You are welcome," said Fred." Now let's get your birthday dinner. Show me where you want to eat.

    Joe led Fred down the street. Good smells came from all the eating places. But Joe wandered on闲逛. At last he stopped at a small place. He smelled around the door. Then he pushed the door open.

    "Is this where you want to eat?" asked Fred. But Joe did not bark an answer. He put his nose to the floor and ran across the room. Then he jumped on a man at a table!

    "Good boy, Joe!" said Fred. Joe and Fred have looked for the robber for ten years. "And now you have found him!"

    Joe and Fred took the robber to the police station. Then Fred said, "All right, Joe, you have done your work. Well done! Congratulations. Now do you want that birthday dinner?" "ARF!" barked Joe, "ARF! ARF!" "Let's go," said Fred. "I'm hungry, too."

    Once upon a time, there was a child ready to be born. One day he asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to the earth tomorrow but how am I going to live there? I'm too small and helpless." God answered, "I'll choose one of the angels for you and she will look after you". But the child said," But I'm happy here. I sing and smile every day. I don't want to leave."

    "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile at you every day. And you will feel your angel's love and be happy."

    "And how can I understand what people say?" the child asked.

    "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweetest words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.

    At that moment, the child knew he had to start on his trip very soon. He asked God one more question, "God, I am leaving now, so could you tell me my angel's name?"

    God smiled at the child and answered, "Your angel's name is not hard to remember. You will call her Mother."
