It was cold yesterday. Tom didn't go out. He did housework. Sam went to play football. And he had a cold. He fell ill today. He's got a fever. Lili phoned him. She will come to see Sam. Sam's mother cooked lunch. They had noodles and eggs for lunch. Sam drank lots of hot water. It's good for him.

    Lucy is Australian girl. She is 10 .She has a round face, big eyes and short hair. She looks tall. I think she's about 160cm tall. She likes sports. She takes exercise every day. She is good at running and jumping. Both Lucy's parents are basketball coaches. Lucy and her family often play basketball too. In the evening they often watch basketball matches on TV.

    The weather in Shanghai is not always good. In winter it is often cold and wet(湿的). In summer it is very hot. Spring is very beautiful. It is not very hot or cold. But we have a lot of （许多) rain in spring. Autumn is the best season (季节). It's dry(干的) ,and it is sunny and warm all the time.

Martin: What do you want to be when you grow up, Jiamin?

Jiamin: I want to be a fireman (消防员). I think the fireman is cool.

Martin: And you, Lily?

Lily: I like children. I want to be a teacher. What about you, Martin?

Martin: My father is a police officer. He can stop bad people. So I want to be a police officer.

Jiamin: Police officers can help people. Your father is great, Martin.

Martin: Thanks. Look, Miss Wang is working hard. I think teachers are great, too.

    Frank is my good friend. He is fourteen, one year older than me. His parents are both teachers in No. 5 Primary School. He likes playing football. His father likes playing football, too. Frank is good at English and maths. He helps other students with their English and maths. His teacher likes him very much.

    He goes to school by bike in the morning. He has lunch at school. After school in the afternoon, he plays football with his classmates.

    In the evening, he does his homework at home. Then he watches football games on TV. On Sundays, he goes out with his parents in his father's car. They play in the park. They have a good time.
