Young Scottish brothers take on a list of 500 adventures

    For Ollie and Harry Ferguson, life is an adventure. For the past four years, the brothers have been working to1a list of 500 challenges and experiences.

    "The idea came about actually from the boys," their father, MacNeill Ferguson, said. "The boys were just asked one day if they could2 some cool things for us to do as a family. They put forward some impossible ideas firstly, like going on a trip to Mars, International Sausage Day and all kinds of3 kids requests. They built the list to a hundred, then kept finding new things we wanted to go and try ... until it got up to 500." They're all listed on the brothers' Facebook page.

    So far they have built an igloo, explored the wilderness, and sent their Lego men to the depths of the ocean and into outer space. Perhaps their biggest 4is playing out right now on the high seas. Last year, Ollie and Harry launched(使下水) a toy ship from the Scottish coast. The ship named "Adventure" sailed across the North Sea to Scandinavia. It then began a ride on a Norwegian boat and was launched 5, this time off the coast of west Africa. It's equipped with a tracking device(跟踪器), allowing the brothers to6every step of the sailing.  But the battery(电池) on the tracking device is becoming weak, so Harry and Ollie hope a passing ship 7 their boat and is able to recharge(充电) its battery, allowing the adventure to continue.

    "Harry, where would you like the boat to go?" Ferguson asked. "Without (a) 8 , that would be China because we all love China." Harry answered. He thought that even there are so many difficulties, the boat will reach China.

    It was my 14th birthday and I would have the biggest party ever. The number of the 1 had quickly grown from seven to seventeen. Nearly every girl in my class was 2.When each guest excitedly 3 the invitation, I was especially happy.

    The 4was full of shouts and laughter. We had just finished a game of Twister when the door bell rang. I was so 5 and I could feel my face turning red, because when I6the door, there at the front door stood Sarah Westly the quiet girl who sat next to me in music class﹣and she was holding a 7.I thought about the guest list. How did I 8to invite Sarah？

    I remembered that I only added a name to the 9 when someone showed an interest in me. But Sarah had 10 done that. I accepted the box, a gift from Sarah, and asked her to join the party. "I can't 11," she said." My dad's waiting in the car. "At that moment I felt bad about forgetting to invite Sarah and really wanted her to rest for some time in my room." Thanks, but I have to go, "she said, turning 12 towards the door. "See you Monday."

    I didn't open the box until the party was 13. Inside the small box was a ceramic(陶瓷) tabby cat. It was the best gift I had received 14 I didn't like cats. I later 15 that the gift looked exactly like Sarah's cat, Seymour. I didn't know it then, but now I realize that Sarah was my true friend.

    Mr. White works in a factory. He liked1in bed when he was at school. It was bad for his eyes and now he is nearsighted(近视的). But he wouldn't want anybody else to2about it, so he never wears a pair of glasses. It often3him some trouble.

    One winter morning he went to a village school on business(出差) . He4a bus at a stop in a small town. Then he had to walk there. The road to the village wasn't smooth(平坦的) . There were stones(石头) here and there. He fell over(摔倒) several times and it made his clothes very5. At last he arrived at the village. Suddenly(突然) it began to blow strongly and it got much6. His hat was blown off while he was looking7the school. He had to run after it but he couldn't catch it. He was wondering why his hat ran into a house as if(好像) it had8. And then he ran into the house, too.

    Cui Hao is a middle school student now. He's very 1 to come to the new school. He 2 new teachers and many friends. 3are all very friendly.

    He often gets up at 7:00 in the morning. 4 he eats breakfast at 7:20. He usually comes to school at 7:40. Classes 5 at 8:00. He has Math, Chinese, English lessons 6 8:00 to11:00. In the afternoon, He has other lessons 7 Music.Art, P.E and Computer. He often plays 8his classmates after 5:00. He likes playing football. He eats dinner at 6:30. Usually he doesn't 9TV in the evening. He does his homework. He goes to bed at about 9:20. He10 his day very much.

    Billy's favourite colour was orange. But he couldn't see what orange looked like.

    A month after he was born, his mother noticed that his eyes weren't as1as a normal baby's. "Billy would2be able to see. He is blind," the doctor said. Even so, with the hope to help Billy learn3 about the world around him, his mother kept describing everything she saw for him.

    Not just through his mother's words, Billy saw 4his ears and hands, too. He had perfect hearing. "In fact, he5 see many things that normal people don't notice."
