    Gabriel Muniz, an 11-year-old Brazilian kid, was born without {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. Although his family thought he would have trouble {#blank#}2{#/blank#} a normal life, he started walking before he was one year old. His mother would go after him, expecting him to keep falling, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} he never fell. He took a while to make the jump from walking to playing football. Say thank you for simple things

    It was Mother's Day morning last year.     Instead I gave the flower to the woman's husband {#blank#}8{#/blank#} told him, "My son was very upset for your wife and bought her this flower to cheer her up."

    At that, the old man was moved and said, "Thank you so much, you have a good son. Happy Mother's Day to you."

    The man then gave his wife the flower, {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (tell) her who it was from. {#blank#}10{#/blank#} badly hurt, the old lady looked up at Tenyson with thanks in her eyes and gave him a little smile.

    When I packed up my life and moved from the comforts of my little hometown to Waco, I remember feeling {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (lose). All my friends were so excited to start their own lives, but I just wasn't sure {#blank#}2{#/blank#} I was ready for that yet. Many things worried me. But I hid my fears and when the time {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (final) came, I hugged my mother goodbye, made the two-hour one-way drive from Coppel to Waco, and set up my new room.

    For the first few weeks, I didn't miss home or really feel any kind of emotion at all except tired. There was so much for me to learn {#blank#}4{#/blank#} I hadn't had time to think about anything. My energy {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (direct) towards figuring out campus, adjusting to college-level classes and remembering the names of every new person I met. I explored every corner, {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (look) for the perfect place to study. I learned to set {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (I) a schedule of getting groceries, cleaning my room and doing my laundry on Sundays.

    Nowadays, in my second semester, I feel like I have almost adapted {#blank#}8{#/blank#} the university life. The transition from high school to college wasn't {#blank#}9{#/blank#} difficult as my mind made me think it would be. One of the best {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (thing) college has taught me is how to be independent.
