A man is going to the house of a rich man. He sees a box of good apples by the road. He says," I don't want them, because the rich man will give me a lot of good food." Then he takes the apples and throws them into the dustbin (垃圾桶).

    He comes to a river. The water in the river is very deep and he can't get across (穿过) it. He says to himself, "I can't go to the rich m an' s house today." So he goes home.

    He has nothing to eat the day. He is very hungry, so he comes to the apples.

    Don't throw good things away, you may be glad to have them sometimes.

    Mr. Black and his wife live in New York with their children . They are very busy all day .

    On Sundays they get up early . They don't have a big breakfast , only coffee , bread and butter . Then they go to church . After that , they all go to the park in the centre of the city .

    First they get up early . They sit under the tree and have their picnic lunch . The children fly their kites . Mr. Black always sleeps after lunch on Sundays .

    In the afternoon , the children ride their bikes . At about five o'clock , they buy fruit or ice cream and then they catch the bus to go home .

    They have supper at home . Then the children go to bed . Mr. Black goes to bed early on Sunday .

    It was the National Day. During this long holiday, Wang Bing did many things. In the morning, he went to the zoo with his parents. He found there were many birds, tigers, monkeys and elephants, etc. When Wang Bing threw bananas to monkeys, they became very excited.

    In the afternoon, they visited his grandparents. They were very happy to see each other. Wang Bing's father watched TV when grandpa showed some old photos to Wang Bing. They said much about past time. Wang Bing's mother and grandma cooked nice food for them. In the evening, they had a big dinner.

    Spring Festival is an important festival in China. At Spring Festival, people buy some flowers and put them in their houses. The children get red packets(红包) from their grandparents. They burn firecrackers(爆竹). And they have a big family dinner. They eat dumplings. They can see dragon dances(舞龙) and lion dances(舞狮). It's very interesting.

    We often eat beef, chicken, fish and mutton at home. We never eat pork. Do you know why? Because we are Muslims. My friends never say "pig" or "pork" to me. I like my friends.

    I want to be strong, just like an ox. I like eating chicken and beef. They are tasty. I also like dumplings and I can make dumplings. They are traditional Chinese food.

    I also like to drink Coke. But my mum doesn't want me to drink it. She says it is not good for me. She gives me milk. I want to be a tall boy in my class! I like milk now. I drink milk every day.
