Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. I'm here today to share a good lesson with you. It is a true story about an overseas student {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (live) in Germany. After{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (year) hard work, this student graduated with amazing achievements. Everyone thought he was going to get a good job easily and have a bright future. But to his disappointment, he was not even given the  chance for an interview! The truth is, shortly after he arrived in Germany, this clever student found that it was  easy to skip buying subway tickets. So in order {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (save) money, he often went without a ticket. As a result, he{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (catch) without a ticket in the subway twice

       From this story, we learn that we may get short-term benefits in some ways, but the truth will  come out {#blank#}9{#/blank#}or later and the cost is high. {#blank#}10{#/blank#}remember: honesty is the  best rule. That's all for my speech. Thank you!

    Most Australians live near the beach. In summer, going to the beach {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (be) their favourite activity. The beach is a place for family trips, for enjoying the water, taking photos or playing on the sand.

    Many families that live near the beach join surf clubs. And {#blank#}2{#/blank#} surf clubs have activities for adults and also for children. The children's group {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (call) the "Nippers" that has running races on the sand, walking races in the shallow water as well as boarding and swimming races. The members get points for every event they go in, and at the end of the summer, everyone wins and gets awards.     Australia has so many beaches and people {#blank#}5{#/blank#} go to the beach that it is necessary for them to have Life Savers on the beach. These people are good swimmers and are well trained to rush into the water to help anyone {#blank#}6{#/blank#} trouble. The Life Savers check the beach every day and mark a safe area with red and yellow coloured nags. People must swim between these flags, where the water is not moving {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (strong). The Life Savers are easy {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (see) because they wear special red and yellow coloured outfits.

    Unluckily, Australia has the highest rate of skin cancer in the world. To avoid {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (get) sunburnt (晒黑), you should keep me following in mind:

    First, wear UV protective sunglasses and a hat whenever you go out.

    Second, avoid the sun between 10 a. m. and 3 p. m. when it is at {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (it) strongest and always use sunblock (防晒霜).

    Nine-year-old Jimmy was given a task in school to write a story on "My family's ancestors(祖先)". The purpose was for the kids to {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (understand) their family history.

    "The stork brought her also."

    "Well, then where did you come from?"

    "All right, thanks, Granny."

    Jimmy's grandmother did not think anything more about his {#blank#}9{#/blank#}. Three days later, when she was tidying up and {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (look) at Jimmy's desk, she read the first sentence of his paper," For three generations(辈)there have been no natural births in our family".
