My teachers thought I was the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (bad)student. My family also had {#blank#}2{#/blank#} same thought as my teachers.

    When I was going to give up my studying, a new teacher, Miss White came to our school. She was young, beautiful and knowledgeable(知识渊博的).

    One day, I was sitting alone in my classroom, Miss White came up to me and talked to me {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (happy). Soon her smile took away my unhappiness. "Do you think I can go to college?" I didn't know why I asked such a question. I thought she must say "no". Because everyone else said so. But she said, "Dear, you can do {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (something)you want. Just try and you'll get {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (close)to success. I believe you are the best!"

    I was touched {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (deep)by her words. I decided to study hard. From then on, we became good {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (friend). She often helped me with my study {#blank#}8{#/blank#} her free time.

    In the end, I {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (do)well in my studies and went to a good college. Miss White is an angel(天使). Her words have kept me going forward. She helped me to see that I can special and can be  {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(success)in life.

    Maria Keller is from Minneapolis, Minnesota. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} she was 8 years old, she already loved reading. She noticed that some of her classmates didn't read as {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (most) as she did. When she asked her mother {#blank#}3{#/blank#} that could be, her mother said that they might not have enough money for books. Maria had never thought of this and decided {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (change) this.

    With her {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (mother) help, Maria created Read Indeed. Read Indeed collects and gives out books to kids in need for free.

    Maria set the goal to collect and give out one million books {#blank#}6{#/blank#} the time she was 18. She tried every means to achieve it. As a result, it didn't take long to reach that goal!

    Today, she {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (collect) over one million books and has sent them to many states and countries around the world. She says, "I can't live without books. As I continue my work, I have learned that {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (million) of kids are in need of books. So I just can't give up, even after {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (reach) my original goal."

    She has {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (recent) set a new goal: To give books to kids in need in every state in the United States, and every country in the world.
