    Failure comes to us sometimes. Last term, I met a painful failure, and it helped us find a new self. Before the final exam, I have promised my parents that I would get the best marks in all my subject. However, I did not listen to my teachers careful in class and paid little attention at my homework. As result, I failed two of my most favorite subjects, math and physics, which surprised everyone.     I took our foreign teacher Mr. Brown, he came to China for the first time, to the Great Wall in last weekend. Having told about the history of the Great Wall, he was amazing at this world wonder. He was struck by the beautiful of the Great Wall. So I took photo of him, which would be a good memory for him. At the top, Mr. Brown was very interested in the activity of protecting the environment that he was eager to join in and then sign his name. Both the Great Wall or the Chinese people deep impressed him. He decided to visit more places of interest when free.

    Li Yue had been awarded the title of "Star Student of the Week" for which she did for the class. On a hot afternoon of last Saturday, Li Yue, want to downtown and walked from one store to another, looking for the costumes we would wear in the singing contest. While the rest of us was enjoying our leisure time in cool and comfortable rooms, she spent the whole afternoon searching and selecting. Finally she found the right clothes. Deeply moved by his efforts, we tried our best and won the first prize in the contest.

    Li Yue is always warm-hearted and cared a lot about the class. Besides, she devoted her spare time to help others. She set a good example for us. However, she deserves the honor and we should learn her.

    Our school will hold a English knowledge competition, focus on American history and culture. The competition will be held in the hall of us school on October 10th from 3:00 to 5:00 at the afternoon. Three local teachers and one foreign teacher will be our honorable judge.
