Billy is a student in Grade Two. He doesn't work hard at his lessons. He likes to play. But he thinks he is very clever.

    One afternoon Billy goes home after school. He is very hungry. So he says to his mother, “Mum, I'm hungry. Can I have something to eat?”

    “Supper is not ready. But here are two apples. You can eat them first.” Says his mother.

    Billy takes the two apples in his hands. He looks at the apples and says, “Mum, I have three apples now. Look, this is the first one. This is the second one. One and two is three. Right?”

    “Oh, yes, you are very clever, Billy.” Says his mother, “Now please give me the first one. Give your father the second one. And you eat the third one.”

    Today is Sunday. Kitty and Alice are in a bookshop. The bookshop is very large. There are many students in it. There are many picture-books, exercise-books, storybooks and so on. Kitty has got ten yuan and Alice has got twenty yuan. Alice wants two picture-books and a story-book. One picture-book is five yuan. One story-book is 4 yuan. Kitty wants a rubber and 3 exercise-books. One exercise-book is two yuan. And one rubber is one yuan. They buy the books and the rubber. Kitty and Alice like drawing. They are good at drawing insects. They want to buy some crayons, too. The big box is 12 yuan and the small box is 8 yuan. What crayons can they buy?

    Jack and I are good friends. Jack is an America(美国的) boy, but I am a Chinese (中国的)girl. He is nine years old, and I am ten. Jack is fat and I am thin(瘦的). Jack has a nice bike. He goes to school on it. I go to school by bike, too.

    I'm Tim. I like biscuits, but I don't like milk. I wear a red cap. My new bag is black and blue. I can jump far. Look! My mother is in the living room. She is watching TV. Look at the mobile phone on the table. It's my fathers. He likes it very much.

    I'm David. I'm in Grade Six now. I have lots of changes.

    When I was in Grade One, I was not good at any sports. But now I' m tall and strong. I run fast. I play basketball very well.

    I knew a few English words six years ago. I can read and write stories in English now.

    I was quiet before. But now I' m very active and have more friends. We always play and travel together. Last year, we travelled to Guilin.

    But the bad thing is my eyesight (视力). I had good eyesight before. Now I have to wear glasses.
