Recently, Huang Guoping's story has touched a large number of people in China. Born in a mountain village, Huang Guoping lived 1 poor life. It was usual for him to walk without shoes in summer and wear ragged (破旧的) clothes in winter.

When he went to school, his family couldn't 2 his schooling. What's worse, his mother left home when he was 12. He had to make money 3 raising baby pigs, catching eels (鳝鱼) at night and fishing on weekends. At that time, doing homework and reading books were 4 happiest part of the evening.

After going to high school, he got support from kind-hearted people, especially his teachers. However, his father died in a traffic accident when he was 17. And in the same year, his only remaining family 5 , his grandmother, passed away.

Huang Guoping didn't know 6 to give up. From the middle school in the mountains to Southwest University in Chongqing, and finally to University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, he could keep on 7 he followed his heart.

I didn't have any confidence（信心） in myself when I was young. That was because I was the strongest girl in my class but I had never been the{#blank#}1{#/blank#} kid among the classmates. But one thing changed me later.

 It was the first day of {#blank#}2{#/blank#} new school and I didn't know anyone. In the math class, the teacher explained a couple of problems to us and showed us how to deal with the similar problems. After solving the {#blank#}3{#/blank#} problem, she asked us to solve a problem by ourselves and write our answers on the whiteboards（白板） she gave us. Then we were {#blank#}4{#/blank#} to hold up our boards so that the teacher could see the answers. It seemed that everybody had the same answer except me. I could not {#blank#}5{#/blank#} crying because I was afraid that my classmates would laugh at me. The teacher came up to see{#blank#}6{#/blank#} was wrong. After looking at my answer{#blank#}7{#/blank#}, she said with a smile, "You are the {#blank#}8{#/blank#} one in the whole class that got the right answer." The moment I heard that, I started to smile. When the math class was {#blank#}9{#/blank#}, it was time for lunch. Everyone in the lunchroom was discussing how smart I was.

{#blank#}10{#/blank#}then, I have stopped doubting myself. I have also learned to believe in myself and feel sure of my abilities.

In front of Aunt Rabbit's house, there are five apple trees, She always asks her friends to eat her 1 .

One day, a little monkey Jim goes there. "Little Monkey, come and 2 an apple!" Aunt Rabbit says to him. Jim is so 3 because he likes apples very much. He goes up the trees and 4 many apples. He eats very fast. He thinks they're 5 .

"That's OK. You are still welcome to my home." says Aunt Rabbit softly.

My favourite animal is chameleons(变色龙). I like them because they can change colours. Chameleons change colours when they're not happy or see something {#blank#}1{#/blank#}, or when they're too cold or too hot. Chameleons have a very long tongue(舌头), so they can use it {#blank#}2{#/blank#} their food easily. I think they're amazing animals!

Also, I {#blank#}3{#/blank#} love elephants. I love their big ears and long trunks. Elephants can pick up {#blank#}4{#/blank#} and put it in their mouths with their trunks. But they are in great danger now. People cut down many trees, so they {#blank#}5{#/blank#} their homes now. Everyone must try their best to save and help them. 

A woman inherited(继承) a clothing store after her sister passed away. The woman already had a job of her own, but she decided {#blank#}1{#/blank#} ( run) the store on weekends.
