Ask three people to look out of the same window at a busy street corner and tell you what they see. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(chance) are that you will receive three different answers. Each person sees the same scene, but each perceives something different about {#blank#}2{#/blank#}.

    Perceiving goes on in our minds. Of {#blank#}3{#/blank#} three people who look out of the window, one may say that he sees a policeman {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(give) a motorist a ticket. Another may say that he sees rush-hour traffic jam at the intersection. The {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(three) may tell you that he sees a woman trying to cross the street with four children. Perception is the mind's {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(interpret) of what the senses — in this case our eyes — tell us.

    Many psychologists today are working to try {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(determine) just how a person experiences or perceives the world around. Using a scientific approach, these psychologists set up experiments in  {#blank#}8{#/blank#} they can control all of the factors.  {#blank#}9{#/blank#} measuring and charting the results of many experiments, they are trying to find out what makes different people perceive  {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(total) different things about the same scene.

    Different people feel stressed in different ways. Some ways of dealing with stress don't solve much.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}other ways can lead you to {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (solve) your problem or at least feeling better.

    Try taking these four steps the next time you are stressed: Get support. When you need help, reach out to the people {#blank#}3{#/blank#} care about you. Talk to your parents or other {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (relative). And don't forget about your friends. They might have had similar problems. Don't take it out on yourself. Sometimes when kids are stressed and upset they take it out on {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (they). Oh, dear, that's not a good idea. Remember that there are always people to help you. Ask for a helping hand to get you through the tough situation. Try to solve the problem. After you're calm and you have support from adults and friends, it's time {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(get) down to business. You need to figure {#blank#}7{#/blank#} what the problem is. Even if you can't solve it all, you can solve a piece of it. Be positive. Remember stress{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (do) go away,{#blank#}9{#/blank#} (especial) when you start working on solving it. These steps aren't magic, but they do work. And if you can stay positive as you make your way through a tough time, you'll help yourself feel{#blank#}10{#/blank#} (good) even faster.

    French artist Dufresne has turned to Chinese characters to explore art.

    His ongoing show at Yishu 8, a nonprofit and art space in Beijing, has installations (装置) on which some characters{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (paint) and visitors can play word games by moving them around to make new characters. Each Chinese character has different parts. Separating or {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (combine) these parts creates new things. For example ,the character of lin (forest), when put on the top of xi (dusk) becomes meng (dream).

    He {#blank#}3{#/blank#} ( produce) them by first asking Chinese people he met in the streets, at parks and tourist spots,{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(write) different characters with ink brushes on paper, and then painted them onto large wooden boards, trying to make the characters look {#blank#}5{#/blank#} close to their original handwritten forms as possible.

    “Each character{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (vivid) reminds me of the person who wrote it. To me, the writer and the character seem to share the same personality,” says Dufresne. He sees the characters as the human body in motion. An ancient character {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (photograph) by himself at a Chinese museum appears to him like “a person walking”.

    Christine Cayol,{#blank#}8{#/blank#} is the founder of Yishu 8, says the young artist has provided “poetic viewpoint” his work by trying to create a {#blank#}9{#/blank#} ( connect) between Chinese characters {#blank#}10{#/blank#} the human body.

    Last summer, as soon as school was over, I thought maybe I could spend the summer {#blank#}1{#/blank#}a way different from previous ones. But how?     Every four years, millions of people gather in summer {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(watch) soccer games. This year, the World Cup kicked off on June 14 in Russia.

    Specially prepared for the most exciting sporting event, Live It Up, the official World Cup song, was released on May 25. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(perform) by US artists Nicky Jam, Will Smith, and Albanian singer Era Istref, the song has a line that goes, "One life, live it up,  because we got one life."

    One of the greatest soccer {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (coach), Giovanni Trapattoni, even believes that listening to music can teach players great lessons. "It is the intervals(中间休息), speed, and rhythm {#blank#}7{#/blank#} help you learn the logical skills you need to read a game." he said.
