My name is Wang Ping. I'm from Shanghai. I'm a maths teacher. I'm tall and thin. And I like music. I have a good friend. His name is Zhang Lin. He has short hair, big eyes and ears. He is strong. He's cute. He likes sports and science. Who is he? He is my student.

    Long long ago, there was a bad king. All of his people hated him. One hot day, he was taking a walk along a river when he decided to have a swim in it. He was a good swimmer, but while he was in the river, he suddenly fell ill and was dying. At that time two farmers were working in the field nearby. They came over, jumped into the river, and he was saved. They didn't know who was until they pull him out of the water. The king was happy. He said to the two farmer, "Today you have saved my life. Ask for anything, and I'll give it to you. I'm the richest in the world." "Don't tell anybody that we have saved you," the two farmers said together.

    There is a supermarket(超市) near my home. It is very big. In this supermarket you can buy a lot of food. I like cakes, oranges, apples, milk and bread. You can buy school things, too. Some of them are very cheap. The supermarket opens early in the morning and closes late in the evening. Many students buy things in this supermarket.

    Peter and his father often travel together. They travelled to many places. They went to China last year. They went to the Great Wall by bus. They arrived there at ten o'clock in the morning. The wall is very long and very old. They spent(花费) one hour walking on the wall. There were lots of people. They took many beautiful pictures of the mountains. Peter took a picture of his father. They were very happy.

    From Monday to Friday, the Chens are very busy.

    Mr. Chen is an engineer in a company. He works from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

    Mrs. Chen works in a library in a town. She drives her car to work. On the way to work, she leaves her little son with a baby—sitter. Her daughter goes to school on a school bus. She gets home at 4:30 pm.

    At 4:00, Mrs. Chen comes home from work with her son.

    The Chens usually eat dinner at 8:00 pm. After dinner, the girl does her homework and Mrs. Chen washes the dishes. Mr. Chen sometimes works at home. 10:30 pm is bedtime for the Chens.
