    World famous scientist Stephen Hawking(霍金) died {#blank#}1{#/blank#} the age of seventy-six in his home in Cambridge, England on March 14. British Prime Minister Theresa May said Hawking was one of{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(great)  scientists of his time. She also said, "His achievements will not{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(forget)."

    Hawking was one of the most respected scientists in the modern history of{#blank#}4{#/blank#}/ 'fiziks/. Because of an uncommon disease(疾病) , he was kept to a wheelchair.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}, the disease did not stop Hawking from studying. He used every new day that life offered{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(continue) his research of the universe(宇宙). He said, "Where there is life, there is hope." He developed {#blank#}7{#/blank#}way of thinking about problems in his mind to reach a solution.

    This way of thinking has led to his important discoveries. He was{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(one) person to present the idea of some special energy in the universe.     A big company wanted to find someone to work for them. Lots of young college students came to ask {#blank#}1{#/blank#} the job, but only a small part of them were left. And this time, the company didn't plan to choose the right persons as usual.

    Here came the day when they took the final interview. A big box {#blank#}2{#/blank#} of papers was placed on the way to the interview room, and a few papers were lying around the box.

To his great surprise, he found an {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (invite)under the box. On it were the following words, "Congratulations, young man! You are the right person we are looking for！Would you like to join us?"

    Plenty of people dream of going to Mars(火星).{#blank#}1{#/blank#}different from those people, 16- year- old Alyssa Carson has been working{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(happy) for that dream since she was at the age of 4, according to a news report which was made by the BBC a few years{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(before).

    Her father, Bert Carson, tells the BBC that Alyssa plans to be on the first long journey to Mars, which is expected to take place in{#blank#}6{#/blank#}year of 2033. "We are proud{#blank#}7{#/blank#}her," he says. "We have the next sixteen{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(year) planned out. "One of those plans is Alyssa attending the International Space University.

    Of course, Alyssa's dream may come with{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(big) sacrifices(牺牲)than others. If Alyssa goes to Mars, maybe it is very{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(difficulty) for her to return to Earth. Still, her father says, "If that's the only choice she has, she still wants to go." Alyssa agrees.
