It is a Saturday aftemoon．Susie is watching the two1play．They are Joe and Bob．They are2their bikes．

    Susie's mom comes out of the house and asks，"3are you doing，dear?'

    Mom,I'm watching the boys ride their bikes，"says Susie."Can you4me to ride a bike?"

    Susie's mom5it and agrees(同意)at last．Susie is only four years old．She is 6at first．Her mom holds (抓住) the bike when she starts to ride．7about half an hour,she is not afraid．She is having fun．Suddenly(突然)，she8that her mom isn't holding the bike．She is afraid．9she soon finds that she can ride a bike all by herself (独自)．She is very10 ．

    Chinese writer Mo Yan has won the 2012 Nobel Prize in Literature (文学). He is the first Chinese 1 has won this prize.

    Mo Yan was born into a family in Shangdong 2 1955. He left school at the age of twelve, first on a farm and 3 in a factory. In 1976 he 4 the PLA and during this time he began to study 5. His first short story came out in 1981. He has written many famous books about his childhood and his hometown. Many of his books have been translated into English, French and many other 6.

    In order to reduce the stress on the students, Nanjing No. 1 High School has1a "mark bank". The bank lets students "borrow" marks2they can pass exams, and then repay them in later tests.

    Here's3it works: The "mark bank" allows students to4marks if they fail the exam. But, just like real banks, it requires "clients (客户)" to pay back the loan (贷款) on time, with interest (利息).  So students have to pay for the loan by getting extra marks in future exams. Some teachers also allow the students to repay the bank5doing lab experiments or giving public speeches. Students who don't pay back their loans are blacklisted (列入黑名单) by the bank, just like in real life.

    "I was sick before the mid-term exams and missed several geography classes," one student said, "I failed the exam, so I am glad the 'mark bank' gave me a 6to pass the exam."
