Mr. Hamel now picked up a French grammar book and started to teach. It all seemed so 1 during that last lesson. I understood all the participles（分词）which Mr. Hamel explained.

     "2 didn't French seem so interesting before?" I asked myself.

    But I knew the answer. It was my last French lesson, and I regretted not studying hard before. I 3 to listen very carefully. Mr. Hamel was trying to teach us everything he knew. He had never taught a lesson so well before.

    A father and his daughter were flying a kite in the park.     My parents turned my whole world upside down when they told me they were getting a divorce (离婚). I couldn't 1 our family was going to break up.

    Later, a man who was seated about six rows in front of me reached out his hand, wanting to shake 12. He left another $ 25 in my hand.

    When we landed in Chicago, I 13my bag. Waiting just inside the airplane door was a man who stopped me and put something in my pocket. 14$25.

    Upon entering the terminal, I gave $75 to the soldiers. "It will be about time for a sandwich. God Bless You. " I said. These soldiers were giving their all for our country. I could only give them some 15. It seemed so little.
