This is my 1. How do you like it? I like it very much. It's always tidy. You can see a map of China and 2 pictures on the walls. My classmates and I draw（画）the pictures. We have a soccer in 3classroom, but you can't see it. It's under the  4 desk.

    Our teachers are always very5. They do many things every day. We have our lessons 6 8:00 in the morning to 4:00 in the afternoon.  7, we like playing games. Soccer is my favorite. My classmates like to play  8 with me because I can play it very well. Then in the evening, we have two more classes. I like to be with my classmates. I  9 a good time with them every day.

    I am a little dog. I don't have a home or a name. How old am I? I don't know. Who 1 my father and mother? I don't know.  2 can I go? I don't know.

    But I know Grandpa Zhang. He is very nice. He takes 3 home and gives me some food to eat every day. He 4 a big box in his old house, and I like to be in it. He calls me Doggy, and I love my new 5.   

    Grandpa Zhang is very  6. And he can't see anything (任何东西) now. I like to 7 him. When he goes out, I go out 8 him. When he goes back home, I help to open the door for him. I try my best to be a helpful 9 for Grandpa Zhang. But I'm sorry I can't wash(洗）his clothes, 10 my "hands" can't do it.

    I was invited to attend a presentation at the Kentucky School. That evening I found gratitude had amazing 1 to change our attitude and our life.

    The young musician Mr. Patrick was rolled onto the stage in his wheelchair and began to play the piano. His fingers danced across the keys as he 2 beautiful music. He then began to sing as he played, and it was wonderful. But what shocked me most was his magic smile.

    Patrick was born with no eyes and an illness in the legs, which3 him lame for life. However, as a child, he was 4 with artificial eyes and placed in a wheelchair. Before his first note, he discovered the piano. When his mom hit any note on the piano, and within one or two 5, he'd get it. By his second birthday, he was playing "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star". His father was overjoyed. "We might not play baseball, but we can play music together."

    When Patrick was at the University of Louisville, his father 6 classes with him. He was also a part of the 214-member marching band! He was a blind, wheelchair-bound trumpet player; and he and his father did it together. His father 7the night shift（夜班）in order to accompany his daytime band practice. Patrick says, "My dad's my hero."

    But even more than his unbelievable musical talent, it was Patrick's "attitude of gratitude" that touch my soul. On stage, between songs, he talked to the audience about his life and about how 8 he was with a great father. When his performance was over, Patrick and his father were on the stage together. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered for over five minutes.

    We all face misfortune in our lives.9 ， it's not the hardship but how we react to it that will determine the joy and happiness in our lives. During tough times, do we spend too much time feeling10 for ourselves, or can we, with gratitude, learn how to dance in the rain?

    Henry loved books, but not like you and I love books. Henry loved to1books. It all began quite by mistake one afternoon when he wasn't paying attention. He wasn't sure at first, and tried eating only one2Just to test.

    Next, he tried a whole sentence and then a whole page. Yes, Henry liked them very much. By Wednesday, he had eaten a whole book. He was3them very fast.

    And by the end of the month he could eat a whole book in one go.

But here is the best bit: The4he ate, the smarter he got.

    He ate a book5goldfish and then he knew what to feed. Before long he could do his father's crossword in the newspaper…, and was even smarter than his teacher in school.

    Henry loved being smart. He 6 that if he kept going, he might even become the smartest person on earth. So he kept eating books about anything. Henry wanted to know7all.

    8the thing started going not so well. In fact, they started going very, very wrong Henry was eating too many books, and too9at that. He was beginning to feel a little ill.

    Suddenly Henry didn't feel very smart at all.

    More than one person told him he should12eating books. So Henry gave up eating books and sat13for a long time. What was he to do?

    Then, after a while, and almost by accident. Henry14it up a half-eaten book from the floor. But instead of putting it in his15Henry opened it up …

    …and began to read. And it was so good.

    When I was in the sixth grade, I joined a piano competition. I practiced for four hours every day and my piano teacher came three times a week{#blank#}1{#/blank#}help me. Then the big day {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(final) arrived. I was so {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(nervous) when they called my name. I went up{#blank#}4{#/blank#}started to play. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}I was playing, everyone sat still and listened. I played the song without any {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(mistake). Then I waited for{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(they) to call out the{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(win). When I{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(hear) my name, my heart was beating so quickly I thought I would stop breathing. I couldn't believe it. I won! It was the{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(happy) day of my life!
