I have never been so{#blank#}1{#/blank#} in my life. Well, I had a doctor's{#blank#}2{#/blank#} at 10∶00 yesterday morning but my clock didn't go off, so I{#blank#}3{#/blank#} , my father{#blank#}4{#/blank#} already gone into the bathroom and I had to wait for him to come out. I had to{#blank#}5{#/blank#} . I ran to the bus stop{#blank#}6{#/blank#} breakfast.{#blank#}7{#/blank#} , the bus had left two minutes before I got there. By the time I got to the doctor's office, it was half an hour late. The doctor had already gone to the hospital. Then I{#blank#}8{#/blank#} another appointment at 1∶00 in the afternoon and went home.

    After{#blank#}9{#/blank#} lunch I started watching TV. And then at 2∶00, I suddenly{#blank#}10{#/blank#} I had forgotten the 1∶00 appointment.

    My wife and I were on the beach, with our children. We were{#blank#}1{#/blank#}pictures of some birds.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}I heard my daughter Lisa shouting, "Dad! A bear is right behind{#blank#}3{#/blank#}" Then I saw that small bear. It {#blank#}4{#/blank#}quietly behind us then.

    While my wife and I {#blank#}5{#/blank#}about it, it stood across me. The bear behaved abnormally (表现异常). It hit the camera, cutting it off the tripod (三脚架). The {#blank#}6{#/blank#}got  very  difficult. I was standing there -- between the bear and my family. All of us had little {#blank#}7{#/blank#} of running faster than the bear. The bear opened its mouth. I had to raise my arms {#blank#}8{#/blank#} myself. I caught its {#blank#}9{#/blank#} While I was getting ready to fight (战斗) with it, it started to rain heavily. The bear moved back towards the forest. But before {#blank#}10{#/blank#}to the forest, it bit my arm. The first time I felt afraid. I drove away quickly with my family. I didn't feel my arm hurt till I arrived home.

    People can imagine life without water. Without it, the earth we live on would be a dead one. There would be no trees, no crops, no animals and no people. So water is considered to be next to{#blank#}1{#/blank#} in importance.

    Although nearly three quarters of the earth's surface is covered with water, it is sea water and {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. The demand for water is increasing, while water{#blank#}3{#/blank#} are scarce.

    Agricultural production needs enormous amounts of water, so does industry. Besides, the rapid growth of population makes it more and more difficult for people to{#blank#}4{#/blank#}because of the water shortage. So water shortage has become one of the most serious problems.
