Last week. students at Bridge School worked hard to make their English Week a big {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (成功). There was an English book fair in the library and a {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (宝藏)hunt. Some students put on an English play. Other students took part in an English singing competition. There was also a speaking competition. The students had to speak on a topic in English for {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (二)minutes. They also showed others {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (到处)the school and introduced in English.

    We interviewed the winner, Henry. "I'm so happy that l won," he said. "If we want to be good public speakers, we'd better speak slowly, clearly and confidently. It{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (取决)on our choice." Mary, another winner, said, "I {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (练习)speaking English since l was seven. I've been enjoying English Week. That's{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(酷的)! It gave me a chance to speak English. In my opinion, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (也许)our school should have more {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (活动) like English Week."

    On the last day of the English Week we invited the headmaster to give a speech to the whole school. He said the English Week was {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (有帮助的) for students to improve the ability of communicating in English. It's well worth doing.
