One sunny spring morning, Clark and I were {#blank#}1{#/blank#} in the school library. Clark thought for a second and said, “Maybe you've gotit wrong. He probably {#blank#}4{#/blank#} you don't like him, so he's not {#blank#}5{#/blank#} toyou. People like people who like them. If you show interest in him, he {#blank#}6{#/blank#} beinterested in you. Get to talk to him.”

    At last I walked down and greeted Mr. White warmly. Helooked at {#blank#}7{#/blank#},surprised. And then we laughed together and talked happily. I could imagine Clark watching {#blank#}8{#/blank#} the window, smiling.

    Mr. Smith had a few shops in the town. A few months ago, however, he got badly ill, and after he got out of hospital, he found that he often forgot {#blank#}1{#/blank#}.

    Last Friday was the birthday of a very important friend. He told his secretary (秘书) to buy some expensive gifts {#blank#}2{#/blank#} him to take to the birthday party that afternoon.     "But you're wearing your hat, Mr. Smith," said the driver.

    My classmates talked about the winter camp. Everyone was happy except (除……之外) me. I didn't {#blank#}1{#/blank#}to go skiing (滑雪) at all. I wanted to stay at home but my parents asked me to go.

    When arriving at the camp our coach (教练) asked us to ski I thought I skied {#blank#}2{#/blank#}

    The next day I didn't want {#blank#}7{#/blank#} skiing. But my coach chose me to be the first one to ski down the slope (斜坡).This time I {#blank#}8{#/blank#}I was flying and it was wonderful. After that I wasn't afraid anymore. And I didn't {#blank#}9{#/blank#}what other people thought of me. That day my coach said I skied the most beautifully of all.

    From this I learned that we should try our best {#blank#}10{#/blank#}every challenge (挑战).

    The English people often go out with {#blank#}1{#/blank#} umbrella or a raincoat. Why? Because the weather in England often changes {#blank#}2{#/blank#}.

    Spring can {#blank#}3{#/blank#} rainy or windy, but the weather is getting {#blank#}4{#/blank#} and you can hope for more sunny days. Summer is the best time for visitors to go to the {#blank#}5{#/blank#} or other places of interest. The weather is sunny and nice. People often go out to have a walk or swim. Autumn is a beautiful season. The green {#blank#}6{#/blank#} start to turn golden, then brown. You'd better {#blank#}7{#/blank#} some photos of autumn trees. In winter, it gets colder. Winds blow (吹) {#blank#}8{#/blank#} in this season, so don't {#blank#}9{#/blank#} to bring a warm sweater with you. January and February are the {#blank#}10{#/blank#} of the year. The warmest days are often in July and August. The differences in temperature are not so great between winter and summer in Britain.
