The Italians are famous for many things, including art, history, fashion and their style of cooking. Some of the best food in the world was created by Italians. The Italians make pizza and spaghetti, and they also make excellent desserts.

One of my favorites is ice cream. The ice cream here is soft, delicious and very cheap. I am studying in Puglia, Italy and I have to stop myself from eating it every day. I like sitting on a park bench with a new flavor(味道)of ice cream.

Nowadays, most of the ice cream produced in Italy is still handmade and there are lots of Italian ice cream shops around the world.

The ice cream shops here in Puglia are open for most of the day. People can go and have an ice cream at any time, even late at night. There are so many interesting flavors that you could never possibly get bored of it. I always spend a long time looking through the glass, trying to decide what to have. I usually choose my favorite flavors. One evening though, I chose a new flavor. It translates as" English soup", which sounded funny and made me curious to taste it. The taste of the ice cream was quite strong but I enjoyed it anyway.

In the eyes of many foreigners, Chinese are the best hosts and the worst guests in the world. They are not really bad guests, but because the guest-host relationship in China is different from that in some western countries, it appears they are not nice guests. And Western hosts sometimes look rude in the eyes of Chinese guests.

In China, guests are the most important people. Whenever I enter a Chinese person's home, there is always fruit on the table for me, and someone is quick to bring me a cup of tea or water. But in the west, acting according to the host's way of doing things is usual behavior for a guest.

My wife's mother, a very kind elderly Chinese lady, doesn't smoke. When I see some of her guests smoking in her house, as a non-smoker, I feel unhappy. I usually want to stop them directly, but I must realize that in China, to be a good host, she must not do that. In most North American homes, if you are a guest, and the host are not smokers, you should not smoke in their house. At the very least, you could ask, "Is it Ok if I smoke here?" But, don't be surprised if they say, "No, you can't smoke." In our culture, if you smoke in their house, you are a bad guest, but if they don't allow you to smoke in their house, they are not a rude host.

Guests in China also have special habits. Some Western people may not adapt to these habits very soon. Thankfully my wife is Chinese, so whenever we visit a Chinese family she tells me to buy them a gift. However, giving a gift to a host is not always necessary in my country. So, if you invite international guests to your house, don't be too surprised if they don't bring you a gift.

In China, you probably won't need to change the guest-host relationship very much because you will probably only be the host, and Chinese are naturally very good hosts. If Western hosts invite you to their house, try not to be too surprised if their style of treating you is not what you have expected.

Nearly 7,000 medical workers in the team supporting Central China's Hubei province left the capital, Wuhan, the hardest-hit city in the novel coronavirus outbreak in China, and went back to their hometowns on Tuesday, March 31, marking the largest scale departure (离开) of medics (医学工作者)since the first group left on March 17. The Civil Aviation Administration of China has organized 51 planes to support the departure.

More than 42,000 medics from other parts of the country have joined the battle with local medics to fight against COVID-19. The support teams came from 21 provinces, cities and autonomous regions(自治区) and some of them worked on several battlefields during the past months. The support team from the First Hospital of China Medical University in Shenyang, was among those in the group. Sixty members were in charge of treating COVID-19 patients in 100 beds in the Union Hospital and treated 174 patients who have been seriously ill since they arrived on Feb 10.

Wang Zhenning, the leader of its support team, expressed his thanks to the Wuhan people who offered great help to them. "I am proud towitness and play a role in history. We've been here, seen it happen and become better. Wuhan is our second hometown. We will forever care about the city and the people fighting with us." he said.

Wuhan city government showed great thanks to all medics in a letter, expressing their gratefulness of the medics' efforts to save lives in the battle. "Thanks to your arrival, Wuhan welcomes today's peace and stability. We will always remember your kindness!" the letter said. In it, the city government also invited the medics to visit Wuhan in the future for sightseeing. Local people volunteered to line up and see medics off as the medics left for home after finishing their mission(使命) in Wuhan. Wuhan traffic police led the way for medics to the airport.

I'm not much of a crier most of the time. But {#blank#}1{#/blank#} when I was reading a book on a plane, I started crying. Of course, it came as a big surprise when tears came up, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't {#blank#}2{#/blank#} myself.

Oh no, not this now. I thought to myself. But even as the thought entered my brain. I felt the {#blank#}3{#/blank#} hot drop of salty water coming down my face. I put my head down, hoping that I could go on reading.

In fact, the harder I tried, the more tears pushed their way out of my eyes. You could guess how surprised the man next to me looked.

My head {#blank#}4{#/blank#} in shame. He must think I was crazy. Maybe I could turn towards him, hold up the cover of the book and say in my crying voice. "I'm sorry, sir. It's just a really good book!" But I didn't, say anything. Instead, I just put my head back against the {#blank#}5{#/blank#} and let the tears run. Do you know what decision I made while I was crying? My decision was that it was OK if he thought I was crazy. I preferred to be crazy instead of being the kind of person who wouldn't cry when the situation called for it, or who wouldn't let {#blank#}6{#/blank#} feel anything at all.

I've been that girl who has spent so much time trying to make sure people didn't think f was crazy. But now I don't want to be that girl any more —that bored and {#blank#}7{#/blank#} girl. I'd rather {#blank#}8{#/blank#} this girl who is able to forgive (原谅), love and act, even if it means being disappointed or being hurt again and again.
