Everyone knows "the one-child policy". It is a(n) {#blank#}1{#/blank#}to control (控制) population. Chinese government {#blank#}2{#/blank#}to control the increasing population at first. Chinese people understood that and {#blank#}3{#/blank#}that policy for about 40 years.

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#}，as time goes by, a problem appears in our society. China is now getting into an aging {#blank#}5{#/blank#}There will be more and more old people in the following years. But the society won't have {#blank#}6{#/blank#}doctors, or nurses to look after them.

    That's why Chinese {#blank#}7{#/blank#} began "the two-child policy" on 1st January 2016. It {#blank#}8{#/blank#} each family to have two children. The government thinks it can help stop our country from entering the aging society.

    Carver studied peanuts.He knew that the south couldn't grow just cotton. Planting cotton year after year wore out the soil and made it useless.Carver learned that if farmers planted cotton one year and peanuts the next,the soil{#blank#}1{#/blank#}healthy.

    To encourage this practice,Carver thought of new uses for the peanut.Would you like to try peanut and raisin ice cream? How about using peanuts as a kind of{#blank#}2{#/blank#} to make shampoo? Perhaps you would prefer to make paint from peanuts,or maybe you would like to bake with peanut flour.Glue? Paper? Rubber? The list goes on and on.He also thought of{#blank#}3{#/blank#}uses for pecans (山核桃）and other nuts.

    Carver{#blank#}4{#/blank#}little from most of his inventions.He didn't feel that it was right to sell his ideas. He gave them freely to help farmers and fellow scientists.Carver's life is one that we could all use as an example.

    There is always a problem. When it comes to shopping, my mother and I have always{#blank#}1{#/blank#}on what fits me well. To me, if it zips(拉上或拉开拉链), it fits. My mom, however, usually tells me I need a bigger size.

    When I was a teenager, I wanted to dress like my friends, but my body size made it{#blank#}2{#/blank#}. When mom told me something didn't suit me, {#blank#}3{#/blank#}I needed a bigger size, all I heard was that I was fat.

    To avoid arguments, we stopped going shopping together. This continued{#blank#}4{#/blank#}I got engaged(订婚)last year and needed to buy some clothes. When I{#blank#}5{#/blank#}on a blouse, my mother looked at me, and I knew what was coming, "You need a bigger size."

    I tried to hold back my tears(眼泪). Maybe I could buy it alone, but my mom is my favorite person to {#blank#}6{#/blank#}with. The idea of looking for a wedding dress{#blank#}7{#/blank#}her seemed so scary to me.

    And so the day came. As I tried on a simple white dress, I saw tears in my mom's eyes. "You look beautiful!" she told me. {#blank#}8{#/blank#}could have shocked me more.

    This one didn't zip up and I did actually need a bigger size, but my mother told me how beautiful I looked. In that moment, all the arguments in the past{#blank#}9{#/blank#}. We didn't buy a{#blank#}10{#/blank#}that day. We decided to see more.

    A few weeks later, we found the perfect dress. We both loved it as soon as I put it on. Then I also found the perfect fit for our shopping relationship.
