    I am sorry that I did not write to you earlier because I have been very busy, I was helping with a charity show to raise money {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Project Green Hope. A lot of work needed to be finished, so I {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (not have) much free time. 

    I felt very happy when I {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (choose) to be the host. It was exciting, but I was also very nervous. I knew that lots of people would watch the show and that many famous pop {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (star)would come, too. We started working on the show half a year ago so that we could do everything on time. My job was {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (introduce) each star and I also had many other duties, we practised a lot before the show, I had to remember to look after the right camera at the right time. At first, I thought I would never be {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (ability) to remember all the words. Slowly, everything became easier.

    The big day came very quickly, and I was so excited, twenty minutes {#blank#}7{#/blank#} the big event, we opened the doors and many people came into the theatre to watch the show. The fans of the pop stars were making {#blank#}8{#/blank#} noise, so I had to speak loudly. Everything seemed to happen so fast. A lot of money has been given to Project Green Hope, I hope more events like this will be organized to raise money for charity and I think more people should {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (invite) to take part in them.

    Charlotte Simmonds is a 17-year-old student from Sydney, Australia. Charlotte spends most of her free time on the beach{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (连词) she is a surf （冲浪) life Saver.     Charlotte joined a surf life savers' club{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (介词) her older brother and sister when she was only five years old. "We lived near the beach but my parents were very busy in their shop, so they didn't have time {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (play) with us. Joining {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(冠词) club was a great way to meet other children, keep healthy and most importantly, we could spend hours on the beach.     If you want to have a good experience of you travel, there's no {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (good) way to travel than to meet the people who live there. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}, this can be difficult. As a tourist, you're walking on {#blank#}3{#/blank#} certain path every day from hotel to place of interest, restaurant or hotel. It's {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (possibility) to go somewhere and never really see them.

    Maybe the only talk you have with locals (当地人) {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (be) with those who work in the tourism industry, serving food and drink and {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (check) you into your hotel. Here is my advice for you to meet locals. {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (one), join a language website. You maybe learn something about local culture. Second, choose a local apartment instead {#blank#}8{#/blank#} a hotel. It's easier {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (find) language exchange conversation partners. Third, be active. The experience of travelling and being in a new country brings most people out of their shell, so enjoy {#blank#}10{#/blank#} and go with it!
