China has built the world's fastest computer, the Sunway TaihuLight. It is the first time that China has come at the top{#blank#}1{#/blank#}using US technology. The Sunway TaihuLight{#blank#}2{#/blank#}Chinese—developed Shen Wei processors (中央处理器). The new system was{#blank#}3{#/blank#}at the National Supercomputing Centre in Wuxi. Jiangsu Province.

    China has the{#blank#}4{#/blank#} supercomputers on the TOP500 list with 167 systems. The US is second with 165 and Japan is{#blank#}5{#/blank#}with 129. Germany is fourth with 26 systems, and France is next with 18，followed by Britain with 12.

    China has made great {#blank#}6{#/blank#}in super computing. It had no {#blank#}7{#/blank#}on the TOP500 list in 2001. In 2003，China's fastest supercomputer was only 51st in the world. Now China has two supercomputers in the{#blank#}8{#/blank#}10 of the TOP500 list.

    Once upon a time, two young men were on holiday in the country. One day, while taking a walk together, they crossed a large field. "{#blank#}1{#/blank#} out!" one of the young men shouted, because a bull (公牛 )  suddenly appeared {#blank#}2{#/blank#} began to run after them. They were very frightened. They ran as fast as they {#blank#}3{#/blank#}, but the bull kept running after them.

    Finally, one of the men {#blank#}4{#/blank#} up a tree. The other jumped into a hole, but soon he came out of {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. And then the bull chased him back into the hole.

    "Stay {#blank#}6{#/blank#}!" his friend shouted, but soon the man came out again, and again the bull chased him right back. This went on five or six {#blank#}7{#/blank#}

    At last, the man in the tree got {#blank#}8{#/blank#} and shouted to his friend in the hole. "You fool! I have told you to stay in the hole for a while. {#blank#}9{#/blank#} are you always coming out?"

    "That is easy {#blank#}10{#/blank#}you to say," the other man said as he jumped one more time back into the hole. "But there happened to be a bear in this hole!"

    Last weekend, we went to the countryside to have a picnic. We made some sandwiches to take {#blank#}1{#/blank#} us for lunch. We left quite early and there was not too much traffic at that time. After about two hours, we came to a nice {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. The water was very clear. After a swim, we had lunch under the trees. Then we went for a walk.

    We saw some {#blank#}3{#/blank#} birds and butterflies. After walking for an hour, we returned to our {#blank#}4{#/blank#} and began to drive home.

We got home very late and we were {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. But we enjoyed ourselves very much.

    This morning, Alice lost her pencil box. Now she{#blank#}1{#/blank#}to the teachers' office.

    Alice says to{#blank#}2{#/blank#}teacher Ms. Miller, "I can't {#blank#}3{#/blank#} my pencil box. Ms. Miller. Can you help{#blank#}4{#/blank#}?" Ms. Miller says, "Yes, Alice. "What's your phone number?" Ms. Miller{#blank#}8{#/blank#} , "I can{#blank#}9{#/blank#}you if I find it." Alice says, "It's 891-2307. Thank you, Ms. Miller." "You are{#blank#}10{#/blank#} ," Ms. Miller says.

    Do you have any interesting places you want to go? Last summer I spent some time travelling with my mother in Beidaihe. We {#blank#}1{#/blank#}there from July 15th to August 5th. It is really a {#blank#}2{#/blank#}place. It is one of the most famous summer resorts (避暑胜地) in China. The buildings there are tidy, with some trees and flowers around them. It is famous for its {#blank#}3{#/blank#}, so lots of foreign tourists from all over the world go there to spend their holidays every year.
