In the past, my old grandmother didn't enjoy {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(谈话) on the phone. Actually, she hated the {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(产品), so she always {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(避免) using it. She told us that she preferred speaking to people in person. It {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(几乎) made her sad that she couldn't see the person she was talking to. The other day, we chatted with my grandmother and {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (提及) video calling over the Internet. It was invented for people to see each other on applications. {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (突然), we came up with a creative idea. We bought her a laptop which was a(n) {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (国际) brand. One of my cousins went over to her house and taught her how to use it. When she met anything she didn't understand, my cousin would explain it to her. Luckily, she was a quick learner. Now, she is happy and we can tell by the {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (表情) on her face. She says it's also very {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (便利的) because it's {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (可移动). She can put it anywhere in the house because it is small and doesn't take up much room. Without {#blank#}11{#/blank#} (怀疑), it brings her much {#blank#}12{#/blank#} (快乐). She even shares her {#blank#}13{#/blank#} (每天) life with us while she' s {#blank#}14{#/blank#} (煮) something in the kitchen! My cousin and I became the {#blank#}15{#/blank#}(英雄) in her heart.

Most people choose to live in comfort after they retire ( 退休), but Wang Guilan is not one of them.As a marathon (马拉松)lover, the 70-year-old woman from Liaoning, China has completed over 100 marathons in the last 19 years. People call her Super Grannie".

Wang only started running at the age of 51, as a way to keep in shape, but soon realized she loved it. She ran her 1st marathon in 2004 and hasn' t stopped since. From 2005 to 2017 she completed the Beijing Marathon 13 times, and this year she set a new record, becoming the oldest person to ever complete the 168 -kilometer ultramarathon (超长距离马拉松) of Jiang Nan 100-Mile (а famous ultramarathon in China), in about 40.5 hours.

"This lady is the same age as my grandmother. How can she run so fast? That's amazing," a young runner said after seeing Wang compete in Jiang Nan 100-Mile in April. This was Super Grannie' s 2nd time competing in the race.

So how does a 70-year-old stay in good-enough shape to complete a marathon that most people half her age couldn' t finish? According to Wang, she runs at least 20 kilometers six days a week from Monday to Saturday, and on Sunday she runs some more. She likes running in the mountains, but in winter, when the weather doesn't t permit, she runs on roads. On average ( 平均), every year she runs for 7 months in the mountains and 5 months on the road.

Wang always believes that age is not a problem , and she plans to continue running marathons and enjoying her life for as long as she can.

We arrived at our new house in the city. I took my dog Max with me. Grandpa offered to keep Max on his farm, but I refused. Although I would visit Grandpa every weekend, I couldn't give up Max for five days a week! Dad and Mom started cleaning the new house right away, and I took a chain (链条), tied it to Max's collar (颈圈) and walked him to the yard. I felt sorry as he looked at me with sad eyes. He wanted to run freely.

At last Friday came, and we packed to go to the farm. "Let's walk Max to the car," Mom said, tying the chain to his collar.

As soon as Mom opened the door, Max ran away. Mom and I jumped into the car and caught up to him, who was running beside the road with his tongue sticking out. Then he rushed into the road. A coming car came to a sudden stop. Mom shouted "Sorry" to the driver. We ran after Max all the way to the park before he was ready to get in the car.

Finally, we got back to Grandpa's farm. Returning to this old place, Max seemed to be back to his happy days. He ran across the field, leaving the vegetables in a mess. He barked at the chickens and scared them to fly in every direction and ran after the birds. "He loves the life on the farm, doesn't he?" laughed Grandpa. I pretended (假装) not to hear it.

When we got ready to leave on Sunday, Max's eyes no longer shone. As we walked him to our car, he tried to run away. This time, I held the chain tightly (紧紧地). However, my heart tightened at his sad sounds-he was begging! ____▲____. As I watched Max run to the farm, I couldn't help crying. Mom said, "Dear, this is what love is all about."
