When I left for the United States to study. I had butterflies in my stomach. I was nervous because I was going to {#blank#}1{#/blank#}new place with new people and new customs. I couldn't even understand {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(they)language. Everything was different {#blank#}3{#/blank#}my own country. There was nobody that I could talk to. I just had my husband, {#blank#}4{#/blank#}was a new person for me, too.

    It was a sad moment when I had to say goodbye to my family and friends. I didn't want {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(leave)my hometown because I {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(grow) up there and had wonderful {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(memory) of the place. So, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (think)about all these changes made me nervous and I was {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(worry)about my new life. But studying abroad was a decision that I made myself. Charlie Chaplin wrote, directed and produced the films he starred in. In 1972 he was given a special Oscar for his outstanding work in films. He is loved and remembered as a great actor {#blank#}10{#/blank#} could inspire people with great confidence.

    Nearly all of us have dreamed about winning the big prize in a lottery(彩票). We dream about {#blank#}1{#/blank#} we would do with the money, but we seldom stop to think about how the money would change us.

    For most of us, our way of life is {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (close) connected with our social economy.     Chinese-American community groups are preparing to hold their second annual International Confucius Cultural Festival（孔子文化节）on Sept, 28 in Flushing Queens, New York City's easternmost borough.

    In my opinion, we should try our best {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (realize) our goals even though {#blank#}2{#/blank#} is little hope. The efforts seem to be the lights in the darkness, leading the way to hope and success.

    I used to be {#blank#}3{#/blank#} shy girl in my primary school. I was weak in English at that time, especially for {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (speak) English. So I was afraid to answer the teacher's questions during English classes. After I entered my dream middle school. Something {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (change). I started to read many {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (interest) English stories and my English teacher was patient to help me a lot. I studied hard in class and practiced by watching English films and listening to English songs in my free time. Little {#blank#}7{#/blank#} little, I found {#blank#}8{#/blank#} more and more interesting to learn English. I could even talk with my classmates {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (fluent) in English and I was not shy any more. At last, I got high grades in English and I had {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (confident) to do it better in the future.
