Beijing was once a city of bikes, known as the Bicycle Kingdom{#blank#}1{#/blank#} cars were reserved for official business and the politically powerful. However, decades of economic {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (grow) led to a huge flowing of cars in the city. Owning one became not just a marker of reaching the middle class but also a requirement for marriage. As the economy developed, autos pushed bikes off the roads{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(create) heavy pollution and miserable traffic.

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (fortunate), now Beijing may be returning to its roots. Thanks to about 20 technology companies, brightly colored shared bikes {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (flood) into Beijing in the last two years. They pick up the bikes and then ride and drop{#blank#}7{#/blank#} off anywhere they like, locking the back wheel, with no need to find a fixed place.

    Analyses in China say it is three factors that contribute to bikes {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (increase) rapidly: a lot of cash looking for a home, a good idea and government support. “As the city's population grew, traffic jams got{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(bad).” Cai, the Ofo spokeswoman, said, “Shared bikes could solve the 'last mile' problem in{#blank#}10{#/blank#} environmentally friendly way.”

    Xinyang Mao Jian is a famous and ancient green tea produce in Xinyang, Henan Province. The name can be divided into two parts that are associated with two aspects: “Xinyang”, {#blank#}1{#/blank#} first part, is the Xinyang city in Henan that produces this type of tea; “Mao Jian” are the words to describe the shape of the tea, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} is small and needle like.

Moreover, the location is abundant（丰富的）with forests, clouds, rainfall, and with large temperature {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (different) between day and night. These geographical {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (advantage) help keep Xinyang's soil healthy and rich, while trees more efficiently（高效地）absorb chemicals {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (produce) quality green tea.

    We think that life in Chinese high school is an adventure in which we have to survive mountains of homework and exams. Yet would it be {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (surprise) if I tell you that high school life in the US is almost as stressful and demanding as it is in China?

    In US high school, everything {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (record) and graded, including your grades on quizzes, tests and final examinations.     Every Thanksgiving my family and I, along with others, prepare and serve Thanksgiving meals for the people in our small mountain community. My husband and I also bring meals to the disabled.

    Electric bicycles have made life a lot {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(easy) for food delivery workers here in China. More than 10,000 kilometers away, there was a familiar sight in New York City. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}, owing to a new policy, e-bikes can no longer be{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(common) seen on the street over there.

    City officials in New York are promising a crackdown(严厉打击) on e-bikes  The pollution-free vehicles are loved by environmentalists and the often poor workforce {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. relies on them. But there are also frequent complaints{#blank#}5{#/blank#} the bicycles from drivers and pedestrians(行人) who consider them{#blank#}6{#/blank#} public danger.

    Now it is legal to own and sell the bicycles, but{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(ride) them on the street could lead to a fine of up to $500. Businesses that equip their{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(employ) with the bicycles will also be heavily fined.

    The bicycles, which look just like regular bicycles, can reach speeds of 30 km/h and are sometimes operated recklessly (鲁莽的). Lots of people have stories about dangerous situations where they{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(step) out into the street, only to be nearly hit by a quick-moving e-bike.

    Police enforcement (强制执行) against the bicycles has already been tightened. Almost 1,000 of them{#blank#}10{#/blank#} (take) away by police since last year, an increase of several hundred from the year before.

On the international scene, Barbie remains number one.
