Nowadays, the life of many people in the world is{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(affect) by globle warming. For example, greenhouse gas has a bad effect{#blank#}2{#/blank#}both people and environment. The earth's surface temperature{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(go) up by about 1 degrees centigrade in the past100 years. As a matter of fact, we may feel that we can hardly put up with the extremely hot summer and we can't get accustomed to warm winter. The rise of the earth's surface temperature has made much {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(different) to human health, the existence of creatures {#blank#}5{#/blank#} the balance of ecosystems. There is no doubt that it is human activities that result{#blank#}6{#/blank#}the bad environment. As a {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(consequent), conditions permitting, all countries in the world should try their best {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(improve) our environment. Even if our effect is limited, it will{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(eventual) make a great difference if we keep on{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(work) together to deal with global warming. Without all people's joint efforts, what would our future be like?

    Once, three men got {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (lose) in the forest. They decided they would stay in the forest until they found {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (they) way. The next morning, one man went to find some food. Soon, the other two men were {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (surprise) to find him back with a deer and asked how he got the deer. The man replied, “I found tracks, I followed the tracks, and I got a deer.” They both were {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (slight) confused because he had no weapons. A few days {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (late), the second guy went in search {#blank#}6{#/blank#} food and soon came back with a deer too. The other two asked how he managed {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (get) the deer. His reply was {#blank#}8{#/blank#} same as the first man's. Then it was the turn of the third guy to search for food. Many hours passed, and the third man {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (hold) nothing in his hands came back, with blood on his face. The other two asked him {#blank#}10{#/blank#} had happened. He looked at them and relied, “I found tracks, I followed the tracks, and I got hit by a train.”

    On a bright, warm July afternoon, Mac Hollan, a primary school teacher, was cycling alone from his home to Alaska {#blank#}1{#/blank#} he heard quick and loud breathing behind him. “Man, that's a big dog!” he thought. But when he looked to the side, he saw immediately that it wasn't a doe at all, but a wolf, quickly catching up with him. In fact, he {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (meet) some cyclists just 5 minutes before and had just set {#blank#}3{#/blank#} from a gas station, but now no one could help him.

    Mac found out his can of bear spray (喷雾) and fired at the wolf. It fell back, shaking its head. But a minute later, it was by his side again, making him more {#blank#}4{#/blank#}  (fright). He fired at the wolf {#blank#}5{#/blank#} second time, it fell back only {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (start) the chase (追赶) again quickly.

    Mac waved and yelled at passing cars but was careful not to slow down. He saw a seep uphill climb before him. He knew that once he hit the hill, he {#blank#}7{#/blank#}  (catch) up and the wolf's {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (tooth) would be tearing into his flesh.

    At this moment, Paul and Beeky were driving their car on their way to Alaska. They spotted what they, too, thought was a dog {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (run) alongside a man on a bike. As they got {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (close), they realized that the dog was a wolf. They stopped their car in front of him. Mac jumped off his bike immediately and ran for the car quickly.
