I'm having a great time on my student exchange program in France. I was a bit nervous before I arrived here but there wasn't reason to be. My host family is really nice. The grandmother always helps me practice (speak) French. You can't believe how quickly my French (improve) because of that. I'm very comfortable speaking French now. My (big) challenge is learning how to behave at the dinner table. As you can imagine, things here are very different the way they are at home. For example, you're not supposed to put your bread on your plate. You should put it on the table! At first I (think) that was pretty strange, but now I'm used to it. I find that it's (polite) to say that you're full. If you don't want any(much)food, you should just say, "That was delicious." I also find it difficult to remember everything, I'm gradually getting used to it. I don't find French customs so strange anymore. I'll write again soon and tell you is happening my daily life. Hope you're having a good school year.

举一反三
阅读下面短文,在空白处填入一个适当的词,或填入括号中所给单词的正确形式(最多限填3个单词)。

My husband and I were planning how to spend the weekend with our daughters. Our girls jumped in and told us{#blank#}1{#/blank#}they wanted to do. "We want to go to the butterfly(蝴蝶) museum," said Ariella and Eliana.

As soon as we {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (walk) into the main area of the museum, we saw many {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (kind) of beautiful butterflies. They all flapped(摆动) their colorful wings.

My girls {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (run) around playing happily. I knew it was right {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (decide) to come to the museum. They were having so much fun.

I turned to our museum tour guide(导游) and asked, "How {#blank#}6{#/blank#} do butterflies live?"

"A very short time, less than one month, "she said.

"What can butterflies do in such a short time?" I asked.

The guide stopped, looked at me, and said "They make the world {#blank#}7{#/blank#} beautiful than before."

"Wow," I said, "I never thought about butterflies like that. Thank you."

After we said goodbye, I couldn't stop {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(think) about the guide's words. She was right. We all have{#blank#}9{#/blank#} (anything) to show to the world with the time we have. When we make the best use of our time {#blank#}10{#/blank#} can make a difference.

Like a butterfly, you have your own way of making the world a little better for everyone.

    Live like a butterfly.
