Most of us think the telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}In fact, an Italian named Antonio Meucci was officially recognized (认定) as the inventor a few years ago. Who is Meucci and why wasn't he known for his invention at the time?

Antonio Meucci was born in Italy in 1808. He studied engineering and drawing. During his studies Meucci started to experiment with electricity. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} When two places were connected with wire, people in those places could hear each other talk.

In 1850, Meucci and his wife, Ester, moved to New York. Meucci was worried about his wife because she had become very ill. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} To solve this problem,he connected metal cables between his home and his workshop. This way, they could talk to each other conveniently.

Meucci invited a group of people to see his new invention. They listened in amazement as the voice of a singer was heard through the wires. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Even worse, Meucci never applied for a patent(专利) on his invention. Meanwhile，Alexander Graham Bell was working on the same idea and in 1876 the patent for the telephone was given to him. In 2002, more than a century after Meucci's death, his work was finally recognized by the government.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}

My husband and I bought a house when we were in our fifties. One of the1 we bought it was thatit was so amazing. It had a big Japanese red pine（松树）, which looked2 in our front yard. For 20years, it was a beauty to all who3 . Animals liked to climb it and play there. Beside it was my smallgarden of4 and bushes that I'd planted.

Do you know Yan Hongsen? He is nine years old. He became famous on the Internet in July because his father1 a video of him. In the video, he angrily pointed out that a Long March 3 rocket was 2 regarded as a Long March 5 rocket in an educational film. The3 was shown to visitors at a planetarium(天文馆) in Lhasa. 

Yan Hongsen is named "rocket boy" by people around him. He is a primary school4 from Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, eastern China. He was5 to teach his whole school about space science at the opening ceremony of the new school term. Now, the nine-year-old boy is giving astronomy lessons to his schoolmates. 

Yan has been a6 science enthusiast(爱好者) since he was just four years old. He often makes cardboard rocket models and 7 online classes to other enthusiasts.

After cooking, we had a charity food s{#blank#}8{#/blank#}.  We tried to d{#blank#}9{#/blank#} the place with beautiful flowers to attract (吸引) people.  We made a lot of money, and the money will be used to buy books for our town library next month. 

All of us had a f{#blank#}10{#/blank#} time and learnt a lot from it.  I can't wait for the next food fair. 

Last summer, my family and I went to England and we spent two weeks in Cornwall. It took us five hours to get there by car. We 1 in a hotel near a lake. We did a lot of different things there 2 ： we went for long walks, played games, went shopping and swam in the lake. 

I had a good time at first, but then something 3 happened（发生）. One morning, I went to the forest near the hotel by myself. I walked outside with my camera. I watched the birds and took some 4 of them. Then I got hungry and 5 to go back to the hotel. But I couldn't find the way back. I tried different ways. However, at last, I was still in the 6 place.
