How time flies! I will be a senior high school student this term. I am very excited and nervous. I feel excited because I {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(learn) more knowledge from my new teachers.  {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (especial), I can learn more about English, math, physics, chemistry and biology. As {#blank#}7{#/blank#}saying goes, “A friend is {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(easy) to be lost than found.” If you want to make friends with others, you should treat them true-heartedly. It is really hard,{#blank#}9{#/blank#} I will try.

I feel nervous because I heard that it is difficult{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(study) in senior high school. I think I will meet many problems. But it's nothing serious, because I know if I work hard, I will be successful at last.

    The word Nushu literally means “women's writing” in Chinese: As the name suggests, Nushu is created and specially used by women.

    Often {#blank#}1{#/blank#}（call） “the world's only surviving characters for women”, these slim words were developed from standard written Chinese. In the old days, Nushu {#blank#}2{#/blank#}（teach）by elderly women to girls at home because female children weren't allowed {#blank#}3{#/blank#}（attend）formal school. During gatherings in villages, women used the characters to .write poems or song lyrics to express their emotions {#blank#}4{#/blank#} were hidden from men. The words were full {#blank#}5{#/blank#} encouragement and positive energy, and showed an uncommon open-mindedness among women at that time.

    Ji Xianlin once said that Nushu is a feminist（女权主义者）symbol. “It's {#blank#}6{#/blank#} unique writing system created by {#blank#}7{#/blank#}（talent）women who were deprived（剥夺）of the right to education,” he wrote in an article. “It has significance in various {#blank#}8{#/blank#}（field）and represents Chinese people's strong spirit.”

    Nushu was made as a national cultural heritage in 2006. However, it is not {#blank#}9{#/blank#}（wide）used in daily life today. In fact, it is a dying language. Now linguists are taking action to prevent this incredible cultural heritage from{#blank#}10{#/blank#}（disappear）.

The college entrance examination is just around the corner. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (assign) and tests will keep many of you up late at night, and you may plan to make up for your{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (lose) sleep during the weekends. But is it useful?

A study shows that the habit of sleeping in{#blank#}3{#/blank#} weekends doesn't fix the damage done by a lack of sleep during the week. Even {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (bad), it may damage your health.

In the study, {#blank#}5{#/blank#} was conducted over 10 days, 36 healthy young men and women with different sleep requirements {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (divide) into three groups. The researchers found that people who lacked sleep ate more snacks and gained {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (weigh) quickly. That could be partially due to the shifting of the{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (biology) clock and changes to certain body hormones especially hunger hormones.

And {#blank#}9{#/blank#} they tried to sleep for as long as they wanted to on weekend, it was still insufficient(不够的) to meet standard sleep time because they found it difficult to fall asleep. Moreover, they were more likely{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(show) increased sensitivity (敏感性) to insulin(胰岛素) in both their muscles and their livers.
