    On January 5th, students in our school visited Robot World, which we saw a great diversity of robot. I was amazing to find those robots could do a great number of things just like real people, included playing chess, playing the piano and drawing pictures. What's more, the robots were in different kinds and shapes, which made us enjoyable. In addition, that excited me most is the show given by a group of robots. They danced just as if they were dancers on the stage. By visiting Robot World, I have learned a lot of about robots, especial about their functions and shapes. The great human wisdom is so powerful that it make us feel more comfortable live in the world.

    Thanksgiving Day is one of the most important family holiday in America. All the members of a family, no matter where far away they are, will try to get together on that day. The first Thanksgiving in America takes place in October, 1621. In 1620, the group of Englishmen sailed to Massachusetts. They had expected to find a freely place to live in, so they experienced a hard winter. Half of them starved death. The next spring, we began farming. With the help of local Indians, they learned to be plant corn and raise animals. In the autumn, the fields produced a good harvest. Filling with joy and thanks to God, they held a celebration. In 1863, it became a national holiday.

    We live in the countryside. Most of which we see is beauty and nature. One of the exceptions to the beauty is the litter some people throw out their windows as they are driving on the roads. One of the few drawbacks to living in the countryside is that public service, such as litter collection, are little available than they are closer to the city.

    A helping habit that my family practise regularly are picking up litter in our surrounding area. We have become so accustomed to do this that my little brother will often say, “There's some litter, Daddy, stop the car!” And we would often pull over and pick it up. It may seem strange, and we actually enjoy it. We pick up litter in parks, on sidewalks, practically anywhere. Once I even saw a complete stranger picking up litter close to where we live in. He smiled at me and said, “I saw you doing it, and it seemed like the good idea.”

    Many people used to gather to dance in our community square, where was designed to improve living quality. Although dancing could do good to their health, but the long-time dancing and loud noise causing by the loudspeaker really brought the neighbors inconvenience. I couldn't rest or sleep well, which made me terrible upset. I felt such sleepy in class that I performed badly in study. To solve a problem, I communicated with the organizers and suggested that they should shorten the dance time and reduced the music noise. Only doing so could they have fun and let others enjoy life. To their delight, they adopted my advices.

    I'm sitting in the warm night air with a cold drink in my hand and reflecting on the days. It's a day of a pure magic! I went snorkeling on the reef offshore this morning. Seen such extraordinary beauty, I think every cell in its body woke up. It was like discover a whole new dimension of life. The first thing I became aware was all the vivid colors surrounding me. And the fish don't mind me swimming among them. Therefore, there were other creatures what I didn't want to get too close to. What a tiny spot I was in this enormously world.

    World Laughter Day was first starting in Mumbai, India in 1998 by Madan Kataria. He was family doctor and the founder of the worldwide Laughter Yoga movement. World Laughter Day celebrates world peace and encouraged people to make friends with each other. It is celebrated on the first Sunday of May every year. Laughing makes everybody feels good, and it is also a good way to help people get along with better.
