    A good teacher is many things to many people. In my own experience, the people I respect most are the teachers{#blank#}1{#/blank#}demanded the most discipline from their students.

    I miss one teacher in particular that I had in high school. I think she was a good teacher because she was a very strict person. I remember very {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (clear) a sign over her classroom door. It was {#blank#}3{#/blank#} simple sign that said, “Laboratory—in this room the first five letters of the word was emphasized, not the last seven. ” In other words, I guess, labor for her was more{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (importance), which means{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (make) speeches.

    She prepared her work very carefully and demanded us to do the same. We got lots of homework from her. Once she had broken {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (she) arm, and everybody in the class thought that maybe the homework {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (reduce), but it continued just the same. She checked our work by stamping her name at the bottom of the papers to show that she had read {#blank#}8{#/blank#}

    I think sometimes teachers who demand most are{#blank#}9{#/blank#}（like）least. But {#blank#}10{#/blank#}time goes by, this discipline really seems to benefit the students.

    There are two main {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (reason) why the temperature of the air is always {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (change). One reason is that the air around you {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (move) in from somewhere else. Air usually moves in large bodies {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (call) air masses. They blanket the earth and keep the air from {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (lose) much of its heat. The temperature usually does not drop much during such a night. When there are many clouds during {#blank#}10{#/blank#} day, some of the sun's energy will not reach the earth. The temperature usually does not rise much on such a day.

    Li Hua and Wang Hai are two students of Senior One. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}of them work hard but they have various learning methods.

    Li Hua listens to her teachers{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(attentive) and asks her teacher {#blank#}3{#/blank#}help as soon as possible if she has some problems. Because of this, she spends less time {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(do) her homework, so it is certain {#blank#}5{#/blank#} she can keep energetic in the day. However, Wang Hai has quite a{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (difference) way of learning{#blank#}7{#/blank#} (compare) to Li Hua. He likes to sit up late at night doing his homework, so he often feels sleepy in class. As a result, he misses lots of key points, {#blank#}8{#/blank#}makes it difficult for him{#blank#}9{#/blank#} (concentrate) on what he is doing.

    In my opinion, Li Hua learns more effectively in class and she{#blank#}10{#/blank#} be a better learner. So I prefer her learning method.
