In America, just as in Europe, men usually open doors for women, and women always walk ahead of men into a room or a restaurant, unless the men have to be ahead of the ladies to choose the table, to open the door of a car or do some other things like the above. On the street, men almost always walk or cross the street on the closer side of the ladies to the traffic. But if a man walks with two ladies he should walk between them. If a host or hostess or both of them drive to get their guest for dinner, the guest should sit at the front seat and leave the back seat though there are no people sitting on it

    People in India call New Year "Diwali" or "the Festival of Light(光)".

They often clean their houses before the day of Diwali. Most people clean their houses in the morning. They often decorate their houses with flowers. They also make sweet food look like flowers, people and animals. Then they visit their friends and give them presents and cards.

    On New Year's Day, many people open the doors and windows and light(点亮) candles in front of the doors. They want to bring good luck to their families. After Diwali, people often dean their houses again. Some people like to make loud noises at their houses. They think this can make bad spirits(幽灵} go away.

What's your favorite drink, water, juice or tea? May 21, 2020 marked the first {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(国际) Tea Day.(ITD). It was named by the UN on Nov 21, 2019. ITD isn't just about the{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(庆祝活动) of the delicious drink. It also tires to improve the working conditions of the farmers and workers. It makes the {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(民众) know the importance of tea all over the world.

How much have you got the {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(知识) of tea culture? Tea is the world's second most popular drink (after water). Drinking tea has many upsides. Now tea is loved by millions from the China to England. from India to Afghanistan.

Tea was{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(发现) in 2727 BC in China. When the ruler Shen Nong was{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(煮沸) water over an open fire, some{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(树叶) from a tea plant fell into the water. Shen Nong then fell in love with the drink, and that is how tea became a common drink in Chinese culture. For centuries, drinking tea is an old{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(传统) in the UK. There's tea for breakfast, tea during break time, tea when visiting a friend's house, tea to wake up or tea to relax.. For Indians, drinking tea is also a huge part of{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(日常) life.

{#blank#}10{#/blank#} (招待) yourself to some tea when you are free. Maybe, you will fall in love with it, too.

In most parts of the world, many students help their schools make less pollution.  They join the Environment Club.  In the club, people work together to protect the environment. 

No-rubbish lunches.  How much do you throw after lunch? The Environment Club asks students to bring their lunches in bags that can be recycled.  The students try their best to make less rubbish. 

No-car days.  No-car days were started by 35 cities in France on 22nd September, 1998.  They were started to protect the environment.  By now, more than 1,000 cities around the world have had a no-car day.  In China, more and more people are taking part in the activity.  On a no-car day, nobody comes to school in a car—not the students and not the teachers! Cars give pollution to our air, so remember: Walk, jump, bike or run! Use your legs! It's lots of fun!

Turn off water! Do you know that some broken toilets could waste 20 to 40 ml of water an hour? In a year, that will fill a small river! In the Environment Club, the members mend those broken toilets. 

We have only one Earth.  Let's work hard together to make our world cleaner and more beautiful.
