    “Early to bed, early to rise.” makes a marl healthy, wealthy and wise. It's good for the body.

    This is an old saying. Have you heard of it before? It means that we must go to bed early at night and get up early in the morning. If we do, then we shall be healthy, we shall also be rich and clever.

    That is true. The body must have enough sleep to be healthy. Children of young age should have enough sleep, or they can't do their work very well. They will not be wise and they may not become wealthy!

    The body also needs exercise: walking, running, jumping, swimming, playing games and some other exercise. Exercise keeps the body strong. Exercise also helps the blood to move around inside the body. This is very important. Our blood takes food to all of our body. The head also needs blood. Exercise parts helps us to think better.

    Lucy lives in the Xinyi Community. Yesterday she met Sara. She lives in thiscommunity, too. She moved to this community last week. Yesterday shewanted to go to the flower shop, but she didn't know where it is. Lucy told her, “Turn left at the traffic lights and go down that street. There it is. And the flower shop is near here, you can walk.”

    There is an interesting festival in China. At this festival people in Hunan always have a dragon boat match. The dragon boat is quite long. There are pictures of dragons on each side. The front of the boat is like the head of a dragon. There are twenty members in each team. Besides them there is a man on the boat. He beats a drum(击鼓). It's an exciting match, especially(特别是)when they are reaching the end. The audience(观众)beside the lake shout for their favourite teams. From this match. we have the name of the festival—the Dragon Boat Festival. This special day has another(另一个)name-Duanwu Festival. It has a story. The story is about a poet(诗人)called Qu Yuan.

    It is the Mid-Autumn Festival. Like(像...一样）other families, my family get together, too. We watch the moon and eat lots of moon cakes. They are very nice. My uncle sings some English songs for us. He also tells us some funny things in the US. We have a good time.
