       Last month, I together with my parents, were invited to myuncle in the USA. My uncle, who moved America when I was five, has been livingthere for nearly ten years. He meets us at the airport. I was excited while I set foot on the land of America. In the following days, we visited some placesof interests and took photos in the front of the Statue of Liberty. We both enjoyed visiting the Museum of Natural History because it great enriched our knowledge. For me, this is one of the most rewarding trips I have never made in my life.

    I hardly remember my grandmother. She used to holding me on her knees and sing old songs. I was only four when she passes away. She is just a distant memory for me now.

    I remember my grandfather very much. He was tall, with broad shoulder and a beard that turned from black toward gray over the years. He had a deep voice, which set himself apart from others in our small town, he was strong and powerful. In a fact, he even scared my classmates away during they came over to play or do homework with me. However, he was the gentlest man I have never known.

    I often quarrel about my mother over whether I can watch TV after school. She holds view that senior three students have to make fully use of every minute to work hard at their lessons. It seems to me that once I am allowed to do that, I'll unable to control myself and forget all about my study. She also thinks it is bad for my eye. But I really can't accept her ideas. In my opinion, watch TV can set my mind at rest after a day's hard works. Besides, it is important for us to know what had happened at home and at abroad.     Last month our school held a Reading Week, which aim was to encourage the students to read wide. During the week, book lovers recommended a plenty of good books suitable for high school students. The poetry reading contest was another amazed activity for the students to bring his talent into full play. All the contestants took turns read their favorite poems to the audience.
