Tomorrow is Children's Day. Xiaofeng is very happy. In the morning, he is going to the shopping mall with his mother. He is going to buy a new shirt. In the afternoon, he is going to the park. He is going to play ping-pong with his friends. In the evening, he is going to the movie theater. He's going to see a movie.

    Jenny is my good friend. She is eleven years old. She comes from America. Usually she goes to school on foot, because her home is near. Jenny's mother is a teacher. She goes to work by subway, because it's fast. What about her father? Her father is a doctor. He goes to work by car. On weekends, Jenny and I often go to the park. Sometimes we have a picnic. It is very funny.

    Mr. Ones and Mr. Brown worked in the same office. One day Mr. Jones said to Mr. Brown, “we are going to have a small party at our house next Wednesday evening. Would you and your wife like to join us?”

    Mr. Brown said, “Thank you very much. We are free that evening, I think. But I will telephone my wife and ask her. Maybe she will go somewhere else that evening.” So Mr. Brown went to the other room and telephoned. When he came back, he looked very sorry. “What is the matter?” Asked Mr. Jones. “Did you speak to your wife?”

    “No,” Answered Mr. Brown, “She wasn't there. My little son answered the telephone. I said to him “Is your mother there, David?” And he answered, “No, she's not in the house.”“ Where is she then?” I asked. “She is somewhere outside.” “What is she doing?” “She is looking for me.”

    I am happy. I have my own room. Look! This is my room. It's small but clean. There is a desk and a bed. There are some dolls on my bed. There are two chairs. There is a bookshelf, too. My bookshelf(书架) has two layers. I pat the story-books on the first layer(层). I put other kinds of books on the second layer. I often clean it. There are two big windows. On the windows, you can see some nice flowers. I like to watch them grow. And there is a balcony outside the room. I love my room very much.
