The bell rings (响). Mr. Wang goes into Class Three and wants to give an English lesson. At this time Mr. Zhang comes and asks him to attend (参加) an important (重要的) meeting. So Mr. Wang says to his students, "Study by yourselves, please."

     When Mr. Wang comes back,he sees Zhao Yang talking with his desk mate Li Cheng.

   “Stand up, Zhao Yang," says Mr. Wang, "What are you doing?"

    "I'm reading English," says ZhaoYang.

    "What's in your hand?" says Mr.Wang.

     ZhaoYang looks at his hand. It's a history book.Then he looks at Li Cheng. There is an English book in his hand. So he says, “Sorry, Mr. Wang. We are studying the history of England."

    The story is about two mice. They are friends. One mouse lives in the country. The other lives in the city. One day they meet each other. The one in the country says, “Come and have look at my house.” They come to a house in a field. The country mouse gives the city mouse nice food. But the city mouse says. “This food is not good. You must come and live with me inthe city.”

    So they go to the house of the city mouse. It is a very good house. Nice food is ready (准备）for them to eat. But just when they begin to eat, they hear a great noise. “Run! Run! The cat is coming!” the two friends run away quickly. After some time, they go out. The country mouse says to the city mouse, “I don't like to live in the city. It's dangerous.”

    Sally's school was small ten years ago. There were only ten classrooms and twelve teachers. The playground was small and there weren't any trees around it. The library was small too. There weren't many books or magazines in it. There wasn't a garden.

In the future

    There will be a big garden. Students will grow plants in it. Students will have more PE lessons. They will do more exercise. Students will carry small computers to school. They will study online.

Now

    Sally's school is big. The playground is big. Students can run and play there. The library is big and new. Students can read all kinds of books in it. There is a garden. But it is very small.

    Mrs. Green doesn't like sports. She has much work to do at home. Her mother is coming this afternoon and she goes to meet her. Near the school she looks at her watch. She has some time. So she goes into the school. Her son isn't in the classroom. She asks a boy and knows they're behind the school. She sees some boys playing there. Her son is there too. She watches them playing and soon she's angry. She takes her son to the wall. “Go home with me, Richard.” She says, "Don't play with them. I can buy a nice ball for you. Then you don't need to scramble for the ball."

    Lily will have a busy month in June. On the first day of June, she will celebrate(庆祝) Children's Day with her classmates at school. She will have a sports day and an English party in this month. On the third(第三个) Sunday, she will write a letter to Dad, because it's Father's Day. The day after Father's Day is Lily's favourite festival. Yes, it's the Dragon Boat Festival. At the festival, she will make zongzi with Mum. And she will go to Grandma's birthday party and Jack's birthday party in June. Summer holiday will begin on the 30th of June. Lily is very excited.
