My friend Bob has a large police dog named Jack. Every Sunday afternoon, Bob and Jack have a walk in the park. Jack likes these walks very much.

    One Sunday afternoon, I paid a visit to my friend. I stayed there for a {#blank#}1{#/blank#} time. My friend and I had much more talk with each other than ever before. Soon it was time for them to take a walk in the park. We{#blank#}2{#/blank#}that, so Jack became worried about it. He walked around the room several times and then sat down in front of me and looked at me. But I still paid{#blank#}3{#/blank#} attention (注意) to him. I went on talking with my friend. At last, Jack could not wait any longer. He went out of the room and came back a few minutes {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. He sat down in front of me again. But this time, he held my hat in his{#blank#}5{#/blank#}. Soon I understood what Jack meant and so did my friend.

    Pan Jianwei, " Father of quantum (量子) " , was born in Zhejiang in March 1970. After he{#blank#}1{#/blank#} at the University of Science and Technology of China from 1985 to 1995, Pan went to Vienna in 1996 for further studies and stayed there until 2001. Then he returned to the Chinese university as a physics professor and began to build a quantum science research team at the university. The team now includes about 50 {#blank#}2{#/blank#} , most of whom are also returnees  from overseas(海归) .

    He became a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences ( 中 科 院 ) in 2011. Of all the members, he was the {#blank#}3{#/blank#} one. In 2015, he was named the standing vice - president of the University of Science and Technology of China.

    Under his leadership, the world's first quantum satellite(卫星) was launched(发射) {#blank#}4{#/blank#}in August 2016.

    Pan Jianwei was recognized by Nature magazine on {#blank#}5{#/blank#} list of "10 people who mattered" in 2017.

     English breakfast is a very big meal—eggs,{#blank#}1{#/blank#}, tea and coffee. For many people, lunch is a quick meal. In cities there are a lot of sandwich bars, where office workers can buy the kind of bread they want—brown,{#blank#}2{#/blank#}, or a roll—and then all kinds of salad and meat or fish to go in the sandwich. School children can have a{#blank#}3{#/blank#}meal at school. But many just take a sandwich, a drink and some fruit from home. "Tea" means two things. It is a{#blank#}4{#/blank#}and a meal! Some people have afternoon tea, with sandwiches, cakes with{#blank#}5{#/blank#}and a cup of tea. They usually have the evening meal quite{#blank#}6{#/blank#}, between 6:00 and 8:00, and a cup often all the family together.

     On Sundays, many families have traditional lunch. They have chicken，pork and{#blank#}7{#/blank#}with potatoes. The English like food from other countries, especially France, China, Italy and India. People often get take-away food. They buy the food{#blank#}8{#/blank#}and then bring it home to eat.

    Do you like to visit museums? You can see so many interesting exhibits. You can go to an art museum and see famous {#blank#}1{#/blank#}and statues. You can go to a natural history museum and learn about animals and plants. At some, you can even learn about dinosaurs! Go to a {#blank#}2{#/blank#}museum and learn about things in the past. Science museums are very popular, too. Science centers have hands—on exhibits. It is almost {#blank#}3{#/blank#}to go to a museum and not learn something new.

    There are many great museums in the world. They contain {#blank#}4{#/blank#}art. The British Museum in London has a collection of around 8 million objects. They keep human history, culture and art that stretch across 2 million years. The Louvre in Paris displays 380,000 pieces of art! The most famous is the Mona Lisa. Everyone {#blank#}5{#/blank#}to admire her. At the Metropolitan Museum in New York City, you can see many famous paintings by world famous {#blank#}6{#/blank#}. You can also see interesting clothing from around the world and many, many other things.
