The Spring Festival in my hometown

Penelope Towney is a primary school student from Australia. In July, 2021, she made her first short film—The Land We're On,with Penelope Towney. 

Penelope is a First Nations(原住民) girl. Learning about her family tree is one of her favorite things to do. "From them, I learn a lot about where I come from, " said Penelope. She wishes that people can know a little more about First Nations by watching the short film. 

Making the short film was not easy, and Penelope put much effort(努力)into it. She also learned about First Nations writers and listened to their stories. And she looked at First Nations artworks. All of these helped Penelope to make her film better. "My favorite First Nations writer is Kirli Saunders. At the end of the talk, I got to stand up and spoke to her about making such a short film. She also encouraged(鼓励)me, " said Penelope. 

Her grandpa was the first First Nations person to travel down to the Antarctic Circle(南极圈), studying animals and plants there.
