Families and schools have rules to help boys and girls. Some of them think the rules are very important, but some don't think so. One day, Sally has a good idea—she wants to write a book of rules. She wants to help some naughty (调皮的) boys be good students in her school. If a boy doesn't obey the rules, he has to help his family do a thing.

Sally asks her cousin Jane for help. Sally makes some school rules like"Do homework first","Don't be late for school". There are also some interesting rules in the book —"Don't eat other people's food"and"Be happy".

When those naughty boys read the book, they like it very much. They think the book is useful. And they do as the book says.

The cassowary（食火鸡）is one of the world's largest birds. It can grow up to about 2 meters tall. It can't fly. It gets around by walking on its large legs and big feet. It can run up to 50 km/h and jump 1.5 meters. And it's also a good swimmer. It can cross wide rivers and swim in the sea. 

 The cassowary is very shy, but it can kill people. It's a bird we try to leave alone as much as possible. However, a new study shows that some ancient（古代的）people had a different idea—they raised（饲养）cassowaries much as we raise chickens now.

 Today, Papua New Guinea is one of the two homes to the cassowary (the other is Australia). A team of scientists in Papua New Guinea wanted to know more about how ancient people lived there many thousands of years ago. They collected around 1,000 fossilized（变成化石的）eggshell pieces and studied them. This news about cassowaries was one of their findings. 

The cassowary is famous as the world's most dangerous bird. So why would anyone try to raise it? It's true that people can't really keep a cassowary as a pet. But if they're careful enough, they can keep cassowaries on a farm. As for the reason, food comes first! Even today in Papua New Guinea, cassowary meat is a delicious dish. But that's not all. The cassowary's bones（骨头）can be used as tools. Its feathers（羽毛）can be used to make clothes. There is every reason to believe that ancient people thought the same thousands of years ago.

I was not a confident person before. That's because I was fat and others often 1 me. As a result, I became very shy. I was afraid to say hello to strangers, let alone talk or hang out with them. I was afraid to ask simple 2 and speak loudly in front of others. It seemed that I felt afraid of 3 in my life. I believed that I would be like this all my life.
