With Memorial Day and summer right around the corner, you're bound to feel a serious case of wanderlust coming on. Whether you want to travel the world or just squeeze in a weekend getaway to your nearest National Park, camping is always the answer. Whatever you've got in mind, we've rounded up a selection of the world's most beautiful camping spots to get you started.

    ●Yosemite National Park, California

Ninety-five percent of Yosemite National Park is set apart for wilderness, which means no cars, no buildings, and no electricity. Sleep under the stars and hike up to Glacier Point for a view of Yosemite Valley, Half Dome, and Yosemite Falls. Make sure you store your food properly though - black bears are common!

    ●Boya Lake Provincial Park, Canada

Boya Lake Provincial Park, known for the color and clarity of its lake, is a great place to enjoy any type of water recreation. The lake is also one of the few in the north that's warm enough for swimming. The area was carved out by glaciers, leaving many islands and lakes behind for modern campers to explore on the park's hiking trails.

    ●Corcovado National Park, Costa Rica

Corcovado National Park is home to five percent of the world's biodiversity--National Geographic described it as the most "geographically intense" place in the world. Camping is a great option for a visit to Costa Rica: you'll be at the heart of the rainforest, away from the country's touristy resorts.

    ●Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya

If you've always dreamed of safaris (野外观兽旅行), Maasai Mara is the place to go. The best time to visit this large game reserve is between July and October, when you can witness the annual migration (迁徙) of Thomson's gazelle, zebra, and wildebeest to and from the neighboring Serengeti, in Tanzania. Camp on the banks of the Mara River and hang out with the local Maasai people, well-known for their unique customs and dress.

Many people prefer eating out instead of cooking at home. A change appears to be taking place, though, and millennials (千禧一代) are leading the way. According to one survey, more young people are starting to cook at home for three basic reasons: They can save money, eat healthy and waste less food.

Popular TV chefs are also getting millennials excited about learning some basic cooking skills. Many millennials view cooking as a form of entertainment and self-expression. They proudly post pictures of their cooking creations on Facebook or Instagram, and invite friends over to share the cooking experience.

Many millennials have also found ways to avoid wasting food. After roasting a chicken, they put the leftover bones in their freezer instead of the garbage can. Later, they use the bones to make chicken soup, which is an important raw material in many dishes.

They also hate throwing out fruit that's too old. To avoid that situation, they bake ripe fruit like berries and bananas for 15 minutes at 175 degrees C. Then they freeze it overnight. After that, they place the fruit in plastic bags and store it their freezer for later use.

Now millennials only eat at restaurants that have excellent food-waste policies. These servants use every part of the vegetables they buy, including their stems and roots, in dishes. They also use beef, chicken and pork bones to make their own soup.

Millennials also reduce food waste by only buying what they require. Before going to a market, they write down what they need and don't buy anything else. They way they won't purchase more food than they can consume.

    (1) What is the main subject of this article?
A . A cooking trend that has attracted millennials. B . A plan that millennials have for donating food. C . A novel cooking technique that millennials like. D . A food production system favored by millennials.
    (2) What do millennials with fruit before freezing it?
A . Mix it with other raw materials in a bowl. B . Carefully remove the skin and seeds from it. C . Use a sharp knife to chop it up into pieces. D . Put it in an oven at the proper temperature.
    (3) According to this article, how do millennials avoid purchasing too much food?
A . They select small cans and packages. B . They leave their credit cards at home. C . They prepare a practical shopping list. D . They weigh produce before buying it.

As missing children age, their appearances are quite different from their last known photographs, which makes finding them tough. Now AI could make it quicker to match any found children to those old photos.

Police can use software to age photos of people who have been missing for a while, but these tend to work best in adults, as age-related changes to adult faces are more predictable and so easier to simulate(模拟).

With children, these aged images don't tend to be like the older child, and matching photos of found children to old images in a database of missing children is difficult.

Now Debayan Deb, a professor at Michigan State University, and his colleagues have created an program to do this for them. They trained a face-recognition program on data sets including the Children Longitudinal (纵向的) Face data set, which contains images of nearly 1000 children aged between 2 and 18 years old. Each was photographed at least four times over a period of six years.

The AI learned to match recent photographs of children with images taken 2. 5 years earlier 80 per cent of the time.

With one year between the two photographs, the method was 90 per cent accurate at identifying faces. This dropped to 73 per cent after three years. The approach beats comparing children with photos taken when they were aged 0 to 4 that have been aged by software, which hovers at 50 per cent recognition after six months. The new AI might help to improve accuracy of this kind of software as well.

"This is a very good paper that could potentially be used to identify missing children," says Amarjot Singh at the University of Cambridge.

Deb's next goal is to extend the age gap. His team also hopes to develop an app that could be used to fight child trafficking (拐卖).

    (1) The software which police has used can    .
A . match photos of found kids to former images B . predict the changes of people over time C . produce accurate images of children D . age the photos of missing people
    (2) Why it is difficult to match photos of found children to their old images?
A . Because the data set of child face images is quite large. B . Because the software can't age the photos of those kids. C . Because aged images aren't very alike to the older child. D . Because it's difficult to recognize the older kids with photos.
    (3) It can be learned that Deb's team    .
A . helps police identify missing children B . intends to develop a new app C . improved the software used by police D . will give their app to police
    (4) What do we know about the approach created by Deb and his colleague?
A . It is based on the Children Longitudinal Face data set. B . It can recognize children's images between 2 and 18. C . It is more accurate than the software to match photos. D . It has been used to identify missing children.

I walked alongside my father, grabbing his right hand tightly. All my clothes were new: the black shoes, the green school uniform, and the red cap. They did not make me happy, however, as this was the day I was to be thrown into school for the first time.

My mother stood at the window watching our progress, and I turned towards her from time to time, hoping she would help. We walked along a street lined with gardens, and fields planted with crops: pears, and date palms.

"Why school?" I asked my father. "What have I done?"

"I'm not punishing you," he said, laughing. "School's not a punishment. It's a place that makes useful men out of boys. Don't you want to be useful like your brothers?"

I was not convinced. I did not believe there was really any good to be had in tearing me away from my home and throwing me into the huge, high-walled building.

When we arrived at the gate we could see the courtyard, vast and full of boys and girls. "Go in by yourself," said my father, "and join them. Put a smile on your face and be a good example to others. "

I hesitated and clung(粘着) to his hand, but he gently pushed me from him. "Be a man, " he

said. "Today you truly begin life. You will find me waiting for you when it's time to leave. "

I took a few steps. Then the faces of the boys and girls came into view. I did not know a single one of them, and none of them knew me. I felt I was a stranger who had lost his way. But then some boys began to glance at me in curiosity, and one of them came over and asked, "Who brought you?"

    "My father," I whispered.

"My father's dead," he said simply.
