The Greens are the Whites' neighbours. Mr. Green's name is Jack. But when his neighbours talk about him, they all call him "Mr. Going-to-do." Do you know why? Mr. Green always says he is going to do something, but he never does it.

Every Saturday Mr. Green goes to the Whites' back door and talks to Mr. White. He always says he is going to do something.

    "I'm going to clean my house today," he says, or "I'm going to wash my car tomorrow." Or "These trees in front of my house are too big, I'm going to cut them down next week."

    Mr. White usually says." Are you, Jack?" He knows his neighbour is not going to clean his house, or wash his car, or cut down any tree. Then he says," Well, sorry, Jack, I'm going to do some work in the house." And he does.

    Mr. and Mrs. White often say to their child Dick, "Are you going to do something? Then you do it. Don't be another Mr. Going-to-do."

    What is a Chinatown? Is it a town in China? Of course not! It is in a foreign(外国的) country. It is a place where many overseas(海外的) Chinese live together.

    There are lots of Chinatowns in America. The biggest one is in New York. There are about 150,000 people in it. It is the home of Chinese New Yorkers. And it is also a good place to go.

    Shopping in Chinatown

    Shopping in Chinatown is fun. You can find lots of things there. Most of them are made in China. Mott Street is the best place to shop because the things there are very cheap.

    Eating in Chinatown

    Chinatown has more than 200 restaurants. You can enjoy traditional (传统的) Chinese food there. New Silver Palace Restaurant is one of the best restaurants. Why don't you have breakfast with a cup of green tea in it? You can eat some Shanghai food in Evergreen Restaurant.

    Living in Chinatown

    Living in Chinatown is comfortable. You can find hospitals, schools, banks, libraries and supermarkets in it. In some schools, students must study Chinese. Many overseas Chinese send their children to these schools. They want their children to learn more about China and its culture(文化).

    On weekends, Tom is very busy. On Saturday morning, He cleans his room. That makes his mother very happy. In the afternoon, he does his math homework. It is not difficult, so it only takes(花费) him one hour to finish the homework. And in the evening, he goes to see his aunt with his parents. They have a big dinner there. The next morning, he goes to swim after getting up. After lunch he goes to the school playground and play football. That exercise(锻炼) makes him in a good health.     I will take a big blue spaceship. Then I'll take the spaceship to the sun. The sun is very hot. So I put on the super shirt. In the morning, I will have some sun burgers for my breakfast. Four ways to have a good school life

    Your schooldays should be some of the best and happiest days of your life. How can you get the most from them, and make sure you do not waste this wonderful chance to learn.

    Be active at school! Don't say things are difficult or boring. Be interested in school-life and your school subjects. Join in lots of activities. Be quick to put your hand up. Go round the school with a big smile. If you are not working, you are not learning, and you are wasting your time at school. Teachers cannot make everything enjoyable.

    Keep fit. If you do not eat a good breakfast, you will be thinking about food in class. If you go to bed late and do not have enough sleep, you will be sleepy in class. Play some sports to keep your body strong.

    Face the problem. Do not say you will do things tomorrow. If you get behind the class, it is very difficult to get back in front. You cannot finish a race if you rest all the time. Everyone fails(失败) some tests, loses some matches and has bad days. Don't let small problems seem very big and important. Don't forget to ask for help. You are young. No one thinks you can do everything!

    Spend the weekends. Don't waste time lying in bed on Saturday morning. Go and play a sport, get together with friends in the park to relax, learn the piano, or help someone with problems. If you don't want to go out, there are always a lot of things to do. You may read a book, practice English or help mother with housework.
