    There are only five northern white rhinoceros alive in the world now. They are unable to have their children. Some scientists there want to use the bank's frozen cells to produce another northern white rhinoceros. They want to do this before the species dies out. That could happen by 2025.

    Can the zoo save the northern white rhinoceros? Other species have been saved successfully. So it's possible for the white rhinoceros too.

    Saving the white rhinoceros would be expensive. So some people don't think using frozen cells is the best thing to do. Some wonder whether it's worth spending millions of dollars on the species that nearly dies out. Some say scientists should work on the reasons why animals become endangered in the first place.

    Today is August 23, 2025. A new chapter in space tourism was written. Rod and his wife-to-be Susan arrived safely in the Moon to spend 5 days as the first guests at the Starbright Hotel that was built two years ago.

    They are not only the first hotel guests on the Moon, but also they set a new record for the expensive accommodation(住宿). The price is $3.7 million per night, per person. However, the travelling charges from the Earth to the hotel are included in the price.

    There's a new kind of hotel in Nagasaki, Japan. Robots work at the front desk, helping guests to check in there. One robot looks like a person. It speaks Japanese.     Robots can be seen all over the hotel. One robot lifts boxes into and out of a storage area(存储区) in the hall. Another one tells guests what's for breakfast. It also shares some information.

    Hotel guests can experience technology when they get to their rooms. First, there are no room keys. A computer takes a picture of a guest's face during the check-in. Then the computer at the room door will know the face. It only opens for the correct person.

    Inside the room, there's a small robot called Tuly. It's in the shape of a pink tulip(郁金香). Tuly can answer simple questions like "What time is it?" and “What will the weather be like tomorrow?" Tuly can also turn the room lights on or off if it's told to. (There are no switches on the walls.)

    Running a hotel by robots seems to be costly, but it's not. That's because the robots aren't paid.

    The 54-year-old British comedy actor, Eddie Izzard, achieved the challenge—a sports charity fundraising. He took part in 27 marathons and ran 707 (mile) in all. He finished the last marathon in front of Union Buildings in South Africa where the president Nelson Mandela gave speech. He said it was (difficult) thing that he had ever had. When he finished the whole marathon, people shouted his name and clapped (鼓掌) for him. He was very tired, but he was proud of (he).

    He was thankful to the people who donated (捐赠) money. In the past 27 days, he suffered many health problems. He had to rest for one day he didn't feel comfortable. As a result, he had to run two marathons on the last day.
